Pascoe’s 9.6m SL Limousine was the winner of the coveted Golden Neptune Award for Tender Design at the prestigious 2015 Showboats Design Awards held in Kitzbühel, Austria.
Against strong competition from both open and closed dedicated yacht tenders, the SL was judged not only to be the most elegant and purposeful tender, but to also demonstrate the optimum functional and aesthetic integration with the mothership, providing the perfect launching and recovery solution.
The SL Limousine clearly caught the eye of the judges in the sixth edition of the prestigious event which honours innovative, elegant and inspiring new designs.
“While entries in this category represented both enclosed limousine and open sport boat types, all were evaluated not just on appearance or mechanical installation, but also for their cockpit design, functionality for purpose and relationship to the parent yacht for docking.
Not only was the 9.6 meter Pascoe Limousine the most highly customised of the competitors and the heaviest, it was judged the most specific in its support to its mothership, a 100.8-meter motor yacht.
Because the tender can be boarded within a flooded bay, it has two entry points with full standing headroom at each, twin engines for 40-knot speed and redundancy and an impressive list of safety and security features.
Among its luxuries are the fact it can carry 14 guests at a time and that its lighting and audio can be controlled both from the helm and from inside via iPad.” Boat International Media
The award was presented by Editorial Director Marilyn Mower to designer Ken Freivokh and Pascoe International Vice President Tom Southern, and is an endorsement not only of the Ken Freivokh Design creative and innovative skills but also to the attention to detail and commitment to perfection of Pascoe’s skilled craftsmen and in-house design team.
