Mangusta & Sea Alliance Group: A strategic partnership in Viareggio

Skipper ONDECK visits Mangusta’s Viareggio facilities to witness the strategic partnership with Sea Alliance Group. This exclusive representation brings Italian custom excellence and the innovative Mangusta GranSport 34 to the Greek market.

Following an official invitation from the shipyard, Skipper ONDECK traveled to the Overmarine Group facilities, where Mangusta yachts are built, in Viareggio and Pisa for a dedicated press mission. This visit was far more than a simple tour of one of the global shipbuilding industry’s most significant hubs; it served as the official debut of a partnership poised to reshape the Greek superyacht market. Sea Alliance Group has now assumed the official representation of Mangusta Yachts in Greece -a strategic move that promises to bring Italian expertise and ultimate
luxury closer to Greek owners, while simultaneously offering high-level support and specialized technical proficiency.

For over 27 years, Sea Alliance Group has been expanding its footprint across Greece through a constantly growing network – now spanning Athens, Porto Heli, and Marina Gouvia which reflects the Group’s long-term vision and strong commitment to the yachting market in the Eastern Mediterranean. As part of the dealership agreement, Sea Alliance Group will directly manage a selection of Mangusta yachts available for chartering, offering clients dedicated operational support and direct contact with the brand. This new agreement recently secured the sale of the fourth unit of the Mangusta GranSport 34, confirming the strong, increasing demand for this new -generation model, which has quickly established itself as one of the most successful in its class. Scheduled for delivery in summer 2027, this fourth unit will belong to an experienced owner from Sea Alliance Group’s charter community, who has chosen to transition to private ownership after many years of chartering.

The full customization philosophy

During our tour of the Overmarine Group’s production units, it became immediately apparent that the defining element distinguishing Mangusta from its competitors is an obsession with detail and the capacity for full customization. The shipyard invests heavily in a “custom-centric” logic, granting the client the opportunity to implement substantial changes to their vessel to ensure it perfectly aligns with their specific needs and aesthetic preferences. This flexibility, when combined with toptier construction quality and rigorous safety standards, results in a product of immense added value. Representatives from Sea Alliance Group confirm that this bespoke approach is the “key” to penetrating the Greek market, where demand for unique, personalized yachts remains consistently high.

Mangusta GranSport 34: Evolution in the superyacht category

The unveiling of the Mangusta GranSport 34 was the focal point of our visit. The first unit of this specific model was launched on April 8, 2026, in Viareggio, marking the start of a new chapter for the Mangusta GranSport line. This new model builds upon the successful legacy of its predecessor, the Mangusta GranSport 33 -of which 12 units have already been delivered- but takes it a step further by integrating a more contemporary aesthetic and cutting-edge technologies. Penned by designer Alberto Mancini in close cooperation with Overmarine’s engineering department, the Mangusta GranSport 34 blends sleek, sporty lines with enhanced functionality and an even more versatile interior layout.

Performance, comfort and technological supremacy

In the Mangusta GranSport 34, high performance goes hand-inhand with comfort. Measuring 33.9 meters in length with a beam of 7.4 meters, the vessel offers living spaces typically found on much larger yachts. One of its primary features is the limited draught, which enables navigation in shallow waters, making it ideal for approaching secluded Greek bays and coves. Inside, the master stateroom on the main deck occupies approximately 40 square meters, while the lower deck houses four guest cabins and three crew cabins, ensuring a perfect balance between
guest privacy and operational efficiency.

Engineering excellence and enviromental compliance

In terms of performance, the yacht is equipped with four Volvo Penta IPS engines, which guarantee exceptional
maneuverability, low fuel consumption, and the minimization of noise and vibration. With a maximum speed of 24 knots, the Mangusta GranSport 34 is designed for long-range voyages with absolute safety. Furthermore, the project has evolved technically to comply with the strictest environmental regulations. The garage and aft cockpit have been enlarged to allow for the installation of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) filters, which are mandatory for cruising in Emission Control Areas (ECA), such as the US coastlines. This first unit, built for an American owner and scheduled for delivery in late May 2026, confirms Mangusta’s international appeal and its ability to meet global technical demands.

“The Owner is an international entrepreneur and a longstanding member of our charter community, who over the past six years has extensively cruised Greek waters on yachts ranging from 25 to 50 meters in length. We are delighted that, after years of chartering, he chose the Mangusta GranSport 34 for this new chapter of his life, because this model epitomises the same balance he’ll be pursuing at sea: more time to spend onboard as a private Owner, while also remaining part of our charter fleet, centrally managed by Sea Alliance Group.” said Theodoros Leontiadis, Sales & Charter Broker, Sea Alliance Group

Nicolò Strocco, Mangusta Sales Manager

“Welcoming Sea Alliance Group as our new dealer in Greece marks a natural evolution of our brand in this area. Sea Alliance Group shares our own guiding principles: customer dedication, craftsmanship, and a long -term vision, and this serves as sound common ground to build a genuine and long -term cooperation. Sea Alliance Group will directly manage some of our yachts available for chartering, offering Greek clients a direct interface with our brand in their own country” underlined Nicolò Strocco, Mangusta Sales Manager.
