BENETTI unveils the OASIS 36M at Cannes Yachting Festival

At the Cannes Yachting Festival, Benetti introduced the Oasis 36M yacht, featuring expanded deck spaces, enhanced hull efficiency, and electric actuation.

At the Cannes Yachting Festival, Benetti introduces the Oasis 36M, a new model marking a further milestone in its collaboration with the British firm RWD for the exterior design and Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture for the interior spaces. With a growing number of units cruising the oceans, the Oasis family of yachts has established itself as one of the most distinctive expressions of Benetti’s overarching vision, pioneering a refined approach to the relationship between yacht and sea. Oasis 36M is born from the wealth of insights accumulated across this fleet and direct dialogue with Owners and Captains. Consequently, real-world cruising experience is translated into sophisticated design solutions, enhanced comfort, superior efficiency, and advanced engineering.

“Oasis 36M is the product of active listening,” states Sebastiano Vida, Head of Product at Benetti. “With dozens of vessels currently at sea, we enjoyed a unique vantage point from which to observe and learn how Owners and their crews truly live the onboard experience today. Oasis 36M represents the direct synthesis of this collective intelligence: a project that extends well beyond merely adding length or technical details. Rather, it reinterprets naval architecture, spatial flow, and technological innovation to serve precisely the lifestyle, pace, and genuine priorities of today’s discerning Owners.”

Expanded spaces where the Owner truly resides

The design of Oasis 36M reinterprets onboard volumes around the authentic lifestyle patterns of its guests. The most cherished outdoor convivial areas — the Sun Deck, the Upper Deck terrace, and the iconic Oasis Deck® — benefit from substantial spatial expansion, offering exceptional livability, supreme comfort, and versatile layout configurations. Concurrently, the interior architecture has been reimagined to ensure a fluid, elegant continuity between spaces, eliminating redundant structural elements in favour of light-filled, airy environments. Reconfigured crew pathways guarantee complete separation between guests and crew, enabling the latter to operate with maximum efficiency through discreet, flawless service.

Hydrodynamic efficiency at the service of lifestyle

On Oasis 36M, naval architecture and engineering adapt seamlessly to the expectations of the contemporary owner.
The integration of a newly developed bow bulb from Benetti’s R&D department reduces hydrodynamic resistance by over 10% at a cruising speed of 10 knots, maintaining propulsion fuel consumption below 30 litres/hour per engine at cruise speed. This remarkable hull efficiency allowed engineers to re-evaluate tank capacities based on real fleet data, which highlighted an increasing preference for extended stays at anchor. By strategically reducing fuel capacity without compromising the range required for practical cruising profiles, the saved volume has been reallocated to expand the black and grey water tanks to 5,000 litres. The result is extended autonomy at anchor, allowing guests to enjoy the most exclusive bays for consecutive days in complete self-sufficiency.

Acoustic serenity, operational reliability, and absolute comfort

The evolution of the Oasis 36M elevates acoustic comfort and seamless operational reliability into central pillars of the luxury onboard experience.

  • 100% Electric Actuation: Mechanical and deck handling systems — such as opening garage doors, lifting mechanisms, and the extension of the Oasis Deck® fold-down wings — feature the complete replacement of old hydraulic systems with new-generation electric actuators. This choice eliminates the risk of oil leaks, simplifies maintenance for the captain, and, above all, translates into the absence of mechanical noise and vibration for guests, offering clear benefits in terms of comfort.
  • Tailor-Made Propulsion: The new project maintains the maximum reliability of the traditional shaft-line propulsion system as a starting point for long voyages. However, faithful to Benetti’s commitment to smart sustainability based on real, concrete, and reliable solutions, the Oasis 36M can be equipped with a hybrid propulsion system based on Siemens Siship EcoProp. This “plug-in” technology significantly reduces emissions, fuel consumption, and noise while guaranteeing maximum operational safety.

Engineering that safeguards the Owner’s experience

Oasis 36M stands at the forefront of sustainability, reliability, and predictive management:

  • Beyond Compliance: Demonstrating environmental stewardship beyond regulatory obligations, Benetti equips the Oasis 36M with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) emission-reduction systems. This reflects a conscious, brand-wide commitment across all models, despite SCRs not being mandated by international maritime regulations for vessels under 500 GT.
  • Predictive Maintenance via D.gree: On the data management front, Benetti introduces the D.gree platform, developed in partnership with SailADV. Combining digital twin technology and structural modelling with machine learning algorithms, the system monitors the hull’s physical and fluid-dynamic parameters in real time. This advanced oversight enables the early detection of anomalies and predicts maintenance requirements for engines and generators, substantially mitigating downtime risk and ensuring uninterrupted operational readiness.

From the seamless harmony of its living spaces to its intelligent engineering management, Oasis 36M represents the natural evolution of this iconic concept. It stands as a testament to Benetti’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, practical, and highly effective naval solutions – seamlessly uniting design vision, construction rigour, reliability, and an elevated standard of life at sea.
