Canados is glad to introduce its second new model, the first in the Gladiator product line, the 90’. This new sport yacht – expected to be launched spring 2017 – replaces the former Canados 90’ Open.
The three versions will be available in either three or four cabin layout with separate crew quarters, crew dinette and galley on the aft part of the lower deck buffering the engine room from the owner’s and guests’ accommodations.
The twin-engine versions will be offered with typical Canados custom made traditional interiors while the triple engine version will feature high-tech honeycomb furniture structures to gain weight.
For all of the three versions, hulls will be vacuum bagged to offer even more strength and integrity.
With the triple engine package, the entire superstructure will be Kevlar/Aramat with numerous carbon fiber reinforcements to sustain higher performances.
In terms of design, the entire yacht has been thought out around the constraint that a yacht over 27,45 meter capable or cruising at almost 50 knots should remain extremely safe and comfortable.
With a 6,30 meter/20’8” beam, the Canados Gladiator 90’ is the fastest open yacht in its size available on the market today!
Her exceptional hull design, highly proven on the previous Canados 90’ Open, is not only capable of sustaining the highest speeds, she is also capable of sustaining them in rough seas, which very few yachts can.
The aft deck space has been increased by creating a partially “suspended” sun pad above the swim platform allowing for considerable gains in comfort. As a result, the deck offers a double saloon/dining area protected by a retractable awning concealed in the superstructure.
This saloon offers room for 8 to 9 people. In the aft deck bulwarks, two storages have been integrated to either house fenders or Seabobs.
The foredeck is equipped with a second dining/saloon area right in front of the windshield where 8 people will be able to seat comfortably and a typical sun pad. The garage can host a 3,85 meter tender and a PWC which is also quite unique.
The main deck will feature a saloon with two face-to-face sofas, dining area forward and the wheelhouse will be separated from the rest by a glass panel for more privacy.
The one-piece side windows will offer permanent visual contact with the environment while the sliding hard top located right above the saloon will offer a particularly nice feeling when seating in the saloon when the exterior temperature gets chilly.
CANADOS 76’ Classic Hull #24 sold
Canados is also glad to announce the sale of a Canados 76’ Classic with the support of French Brokerage firm Yacht Addict. The boat will start its cruising season this summer in Southern Italy and will then head to Izmir, Turkey.
The owner, an experienced yachtsman who previously owned a 75’ Riva confessed that being a young adult, he was once walking in a marina to a restaurant and saw a couple having a candle lit dinner on the aft deck of superb yacht. This yacht was a Canados, and he always kept this memory in the back of his mind and had as a goal to one day own the same boat. Since then, the grown up adult became a respected industrialist and a proud Canados owner!
This third consecutive sale and the high number of undergoing negotiations are very important for Canados as it confirms two things:
The proven power of the brand sustained by unique quality custom interiors delivered since 1946.
The power of attraction of reasonable sized custom yachts.
The client also admitted that he was astonished when visiting the joinery where the furniture of his boat were undergoing their finishing touches to see that we are still hand manufacturing every single piece of our interiors.
GLOBAL REACH AND YARD ACTIVITY
We are happy to report that since Canados reopened its doors early January, an intense interest has been confirmed and the demand keeps growing from everywhere in Europe and mainly from North America, Mexico France and Italy. Edward Sacks, a veteran in the US yachting business has now joined the team and coordinates B-to-B commercial operations by being the link between the shipyard and the brokerage community.
Edward Sacks is not only one the most respected individual in the business, he is also an experienced yachtsman whom had a major impact on the Italian Yachting Industry back when he had build for himself the 48 meter Azzura. Sacks decided to join forces with Canados after having experienced our flexibility and reactivity to any demands from potential buyers and recognize this as unique among the Italian Yachting industry.
REVAMPING THE SHIPYARD’S INFRASTRUCTURES
