A 35 metre design, the second in the ground breaking BlackCat range that continues their distinctive lines designed by Malcolm McKeon, one of the world’s most successful superyacht designers.
The 35M (114 ft) BlackCat, built completely from carbon fibre, will perform exceptionally well under sail and will be extremely fuel efficient when run by motor. She has a beam of 14 metres which equates to a huge volume and a deck space that is substantially larger than an equivalent length monohull.
The BlackCat 35 provides accommodation in 6 cabins for up to 8 guests and 4 crew with a very open and spacious feel. The main deck salon is on a single level and is big enough to cater for large dinner parties and entertainment.
“After launching the BlackCat 50M model in 2016 it became apparent that the market appetite for a high-quality superyacht multihull is rapidly growing. The BlackCat 35 offers the same characteristics of style and performance in this smaller model”, said Mitch Booth, multihull expert and BlackCat founder.
The advantages of fast cruising on a multihull, capable of cruising at 20 knots and reaching a maximum speed of 32 knots, with a low heel angle and platform stability, make the BlackCat 35 an attractive alternative for any owner considering a 40-45m monohull. Each design can be tailor-made down to the smallest detail, to suit each customer’s wishes.
The cost analysis of the BlackCat 35 is now complete and, unsurprisingly, the metre-to-metre cost comes in below that of a carbon fibre monohull of the same volume.
The BlackCat Superyachts team of specialists – who are also involved in the 50M model – include award winning boatbuilder Baltic Yachts, world leader in high-end carbon composite structures, and North Technology Group, who will provide and optimise the sails and rig package. Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design is the chief designer, and M2 Atelier is in charge of the internal styling, to offer the ultimate lightness, comfort and luxury in a contemporary cruising superyacht. A newly appointed yacht broker, Y.co, has recently joined the BlackCat family for all sales enquiries.
