Compass Tenders are delighted to share details of this 12.3m Catamaran tender, recently built for the 68m shadow vessel ‘Nebula’.
Built to accompany a 68m shadow vessel, this catamaran bears a striking family resemblance to the mothership. Working closely with the exterior designer of the parent superyacht, Schwalgien Yacht Design, we incorporated design characteristics that are both aesthetic and functional.
The tender’s futuristic styling and catamaran hull configuration gives a 4.4m beam that allows for an open-plan arrangement and seating for 18 guests. There’s a head, streamlined galley, and a forward hydraulic door for effortless beach landings.
Underway, the catamaran is incredibly smooth and has impressive acceleration through to her 40-knot top speed. Nimble and quick on her toes, the ‘Shadow Kitten’ corners at speed with exceptional control.
These attributes make this 12.3m tender ideal for fast guest transportation, as well as use as a water sports platform, and a satellite vessel to the mothership for excursions and adventures.
“Our third 12m catamaran is now in build, with further plans and enquiries in the pipeline. It is no wonder these versatile, dynamic, and capable craft are becoming such popular superyacht tenders or for use as stand-alone day boats.”
