The great brands at the Faraone Casa d’Aste

The Milanese auction house is gearing up to captivate collectors and enthusiasts on November 27th with a selection of 293 items, ranging from high jewelry and timepieces to art objects, silver tableware, and luxury goods. Taking center stage in the catalog are the renowned brands.

The final event for 2024 at Faraone Casa d’Aste will take place on November 27, concluding a year of growth with an auction in two sessions: a morning session dedicated to luxury goods and fine silverware, followed by an afternoon session featuring lots of jewelry and watches.

The auction house on Via Montenapoleone, experiencing constant growth, aims to replicate the success of the May auction, which achieved a sell-through rate of 107% of the catalog. The November 27 catalog presents a diverse offering of top brands, catering to a wide variety of buyers—dealers, collectors seeking exclusive and rare items, as well as private individuals looking for holiday gifts.

In the afternoon session, alongside lots by prestigious brands such as Bulgari, Cartier, Boucheron, Buccellati, and Pomellato for jewelry, and Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Vacheron Constantin for watches, are niche treasures highly sought after by collectors, such as those by Frascarolo, Marina B, and Ravasco.

Among these rare and sought-after pieces are eight artist-designed gold jewels created for Cleto Munari, a renowned Italian designer and entrepreneur known for his innovative luxury designs, by two architects, Mimmo Paladino and Sandro Chia. The pieces include two brooches, a ring, and two bracelets by Paladino, and a bracelet and two necklaces by Chia, each accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

They will make way for a dazzling platinum solitaire with a 21.12 ct round brilliant-cut diamond, complete with a case and the original Faraone purchase receipt from 1955.

Following this is a Bulgari “double heart” tubogas collier de chien with matching bracelet—a brand that has become increasingly sought after—alongside a platinum ring with a natural pearl and a Ravasco brooch in platinum and diamonds.

Captivating the audience in streaming via the MyFaraone app, by phone, and the lucky few invited to attend in person at the Via Montenapoleone 9 location, are a white gold and diamond necklace that converts into a brooch and earrings, a platinum bracelet with Burma rubies (no heat) and diamonds, and a platinum solitaire with a 5-carat diamond.

The lineup closes with a white gold brooch featuring diamonds and rubies, which can also be converted into a bracelet and earrings, making way for an array of highly sought-after wristwatches. A Patek Philippe Nautilus (Ref. 3800) with a 37 mm case and a less common white dial leads the way, followed by a Calatrava (Ref. 2525) from 1954, with a certificate of authenticity, a gold case, exotic leather strap, and original buckle, along with a 1970s model (Ref. 3601) extra-flat, with a gold case and bracelet, also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Rolex watches, too, are well-represented, with a GMT Master II (Ref. 16713) with a bronze-colored dial and bezel with a Jubilee bracelet in steel and gold, a “first series” GMT in steel, and a Day-Date (Ref. 1803) with a gold case and bracelet and an original buckle strap, accompanied by a warranty. For female collectors, the lineup includes a highly desirable Bulgari tubogas watch from the “Serpenti” collection in steel, with box and warranty, and an equally coveted Patek Philippe 24 Hours in steel with diamond-encrusted carrure and accompanying warranty.

The morning session, instead, is dedicated to fine silverware and luxury goods, starring Chanel bags, including three classic Timeless Double-Flap, a limited edition, two 2.55s, alongside vintage pieces from the Parisian maison, as well as ballet flats and bijoux.

Hermès bags are also essential, with a new Kelly 28 full set, a Kelly pochette Picotin, also new and full set, and three Victoria travel bags in Togo leather in the on-trend Rouge H hue, as well as clothing items from the Maison.

From the Florentine Gucci brand, a new all-black Bamboo 1947 bag in a full set, a vintage crocodile bag with removable shoulder strap, and a Jackie bag in monogram fabric. Also included is a limited edition 2009 Speedy 30 “graffiti” bag, and, under the Dior brand, a Lady bag full set and a “mini” Saddle bag in python.
