ISA Yachts unveils the first Viper 130 – A new chapter in high-performance design

ISA Yachts presents the first Viper 130, a 38.8-metre planing yacht reaching 35 knots, combining high performance with generous volumes and design.

ISA Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, presents the first unit of the Viper 130, opening a new chapter in the brand’s history dedicated to high performance. With an overall length of 38.8 metres, ISA Viper 130 is a planing yacht built in GRP with carbon-fibre reinforcements, conceived to redefine the concept of performance yachting through a bold balance of speed, liveability and style. Powered by three MAN V12X engines, each delivering 2,200 hp, combined with two MJP waterjets and a central MJP booster, ISA Viper 130 reaches a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. A standard version is also available, featuring four 1,000 hp Volvo Penta IPS engines, for a top speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots.

The exterior design, developed by ISA Yachts in collaboration with Fulvio De Simoni, and the interior design, also penned by De Simoni, blend harmoniously with the naval architecture, developed by ISA Yachts in collaboration with Studio Ing. Arnaboldi, with the contribution of MJP for the waterjet propulsion system. The result is a yacht with a strong and immediately recognisable personality, whose taut, dynamic lines express the model’s vocation for speed from the very first glance. The cockpit, arranged across three distinct yet complementary areas, is one of the most distinctive features of ISA Viper 130 and offers a contemporary interpretation of the relationship between guests and the sea.

At the lowest level is the aft beach area, directly overlooking the water and equipped with a transformer serving the dual function of bathing staircase and passerelle. Two steps up on either side lead to the second area, dominated by a large aft-facing sunpad and a lounge area with built-in sofas and a Tribù coffee table. The opening of the two side balconies further expands the available surface, creating a true terrace over the sea and offering an extraordinary sense of continuity between the yacht and the water.

The third area is dedicated to outdoor dining, with a large table accommodating up to 10 guests. A distinctive feature of this area is the aft galley combined with a bar and stools. Thanks to a retractable privacy glass panel, the space can change configuration according to different needs: completely open for social occasions, show cooking and cocktail parties, or separated from the guests to ensure maximum privacy during service.

To the left of the bar is the staircase leading directly to the sun deck. To maximise the interior volumes and make the living spaces even more generous, access to the bow has been concentrated exclusively along the port side. The forward area therefore becomes an additional space dedicated to guests, featuring a Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads and sofas, conceived as a private and independent environment separate from the social areas aft.

Inside, the mood is modern and fresh, characterised by flowing lines that define and harmonise every space. The colour palette ranges from optical white to light blue and deep blue, through a refined sequence of shades. Black ash parquet flooring is paired with pearl-grey lacquered walls, alternating with titanium-effect surfaces, chrome metal details and precious Rubelli decorative wall coverings. Completing the setting are Marazzi marble details in the elegant Calacatta Extra, Sodalite Blu and Capraia varieties.

On the main deck, a second bar leads into the main saloon, where large opening floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light and strengthen the visual connection with the outdoors. The saloon is arranged into two distinct lounge areas, entirely furnished by Minotti, creating an elegant, fluid and informal environment consistent with the yacht’s dynamic character. Forward on the main deck, the wheelhouse occupies a separate area and is accessed via a staircase located to the left of the saloon. To the right of the saloon, a second staircase leads to the lower deck and the guest sleeping quarters.

Below deck, the owner’s cabin, positioned amidships, features a floating-effect bed, walk-in wardrobe, lounge area, vanity with a Minotti armchair, and a double bathroom with a large central shower in Capraia marble. The custom-made headboard stands out for its elegant three-dimensional wave-effect panel, enhanced by a sophisticated titanium-metal finish. Leather, wall coverings, smoked mirrors and steel come together in a refined interplay of textures and reflections, creating an environment with a strong personality.

Carefully designed lighting enhances the different surfaces, creating delicate contrasts of light and shadow that highlight the three-dimensional quality of the headboard and the details of the furnishings. The palette, dominated by deep shades of blue, pearl grey and metallic accents, harmonises with the soft lines of the furniture and the textured surfaces, creating a contemporary, sophisticated and enveloping atmosphere. The remaining four double cabins comprise two cabins with double beds and two with twin beds, one of which also features a third Pullman berth, providing accommodation for a total of 11 guests across five cabins. Surmounted by a carbon-fibre hardtop, the sun deck is conceived as a private and versatile space entirely dedicated to outdoor living.

In addition to the second helm station, the layout includes a large aft sunpad, a lounge area with Kettal sofas and Minotti armchairs, a spacious bar with stools, and a Royal Botania dining table accommodating up to 10 guests, paired with Tribù chairs. A complete and independent environment, designed to accompany different moments of the day, from cruising to socialising. Access to the crew area is located within the galley, a solution designed to ensure discreet service routes that remain separate from those used by guests. The area is arranged with a separate laundry room, crew mess and three en-suite cabins, and can accommodate up to six crew members.

The side garage on the starboard side houses a 5-metre tender. With ISA Viper 130, ISA Yachts takes its vision of performance yachting into a new dimension, combining a top speed of 35 knots with the volumes, design solutions and open-air spaces typically found on larger yachts. A model conceived not simply to go fast, but to transform performance into a complete onboard experience: power, design and freedom at sea according to ISA Yachts.
