Marex 440 Scandinavia premiere at boot Düsseldorf 2025

The Marex 440 Scandinavia, the second version of the shipyard’s flagship model, will have its official world premiere on boot Düsseldorf 2025. It redefines modern cruising with its perfect blend of luxury and functionality.

With a focus on social spaces, the Marex 440 Scandinavia offers two large dining areas onboard and ensures quick and direct access to the deck thanks to its pilot and co-pilot side doors. Concept overview

The Marex 440 Scandinavia is the result of the successful collaboration between Marex and the Slovenian studios VOM Creations (Design), Nikl Design (Naval), and Alpha Creations (Engineering).

“We are delighted to present our highly awarded flagship Marex 440 in a Scandinavia version. We started to develop the Scandinavia concept long ago, as we embraced the idea of enjoying family boating in any weather or season. Two dining areas, indoor and outdoor, allow us to create a truly versatile boat, “comments Espen Aalrud, CEO of Marex.

Salon Dining

The Marex 440 Scandinavia stands out with its innovative and versatile interior design, thoughtfully crafted for comfort and ergonomics. The salon has a dining area with a sofa and two pull-out stools, perfect for accommodating additional guests or creating a cozy space for family gatherings.

The table features folding sides that are easily adjusted to shorten the top surface. This design is particularly useful when space optimization is essential when part of the sofa is used as a co-pilot bench.

That “clever seat” can quickly transform into part of the dining area, adding flexibility to the salon. Whether enjoying a meal or engaging in lively conversation, this multifunctional seating arrangement effortlessly adapts to your needs.

“Whether the boat is anchored in a quiet bay or cruising along the coast, the large windows on 440 Scandinavia make you feel connected with the sea. In addition, a sliding glass door and an electrically retractable window allow the guests to combine the salon and cockpit into one social area to enjoy,” adds Aalrud.

A standout feature is the folding down TV concealed in the salon ceiling. Its rotating functionality allows it to serve both the open cockpit and the salon. This clever addition ensures you can enjoy your favorite shows or movies wherever you’re seated.

Galley

The Marex 440 Scandinavia boasts a beautifully designed kitchen equipped with a double sink, oven, and induction cooker by Miele.

Storage and efficiency are key highlights of 440 Scandinavia. A spacious 220-liter (7.8-cubic feet) refrigerator and a 100-liter (3.5-cubic feet) freezer provide ample capacity for provisions.

As an extra option, the refrigerator and freezer are powered by roof-mounted solar panels allowing them to run all season without requiring shore power.

Cockpit Seating Group

The open cockpit of the Marex 440 Scandinavia is designed to be the ultimate social hub on the water. At its heart is a spacious U-shaped sofa that wraps around the dining table, complemented by an additional starboard sofa. Every corner of the seating group is optimized for socializing and connection to the sea.

Lower deck

The Marex 440 Scandinavia, the same as the Gourmet Version, has two- or three-cabin layouts. The two-cabin solution has a forward Master Cabin with a large 1,70 x 2,00 m bed and a generous bathroom with a separate shower.

The second guest cabin comes with an en-suite head, a 1,80 x 2,00 m bed, a comfortable sofa along the window line, a changing room area at the entrance, and can be delivered with a laundry machine (washer/dryer). The three-cabin layout includes a Master Cabin with its head and two twin cabins with shared facilities.
