Lürssen celebrates the delivery of six custom yachts in 2026, highlighted by the global debut of the 102.4-metre NIXIE.
Lürssen is celebrating the delivery of six custom yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show, with a showcase of the 2026 fleet and the global debut of the 102.4-metre NIXIE. This year’s deliveries represent the full spectrum of what Lürssen offers, not only in the diversity of design but also in the scale at which it builds. Ranging from 78 to well over 100 metres, the six yachts are BOARDWALK, DEEP BLUE, NAUSICAÄ, NIXIE, O3, and ODISEA.
The company operates three shipyards in northern Germany and a design centre in Croatia with expertise across both new build and refit. In addition, an independent sales office in North America supports US clients. Lürssen has built its reputation on engineering complex and innovative solutions at scale, developing new approaches where conventional solutions are not enough. Its history is marked by firsts, which began in 1886 with the construction of the world’s first motorboat, REMS.
“Commissioning a Lürssen is an intensely personal experience,” says Peter Lürssen. “Every yacht reflects a different vision, and every project asks something different of our teams. Seeing six yachts delivered in a single year, each with its own character and ambitions, illustrates the breadth of expertise within Lürssen.
Each new Lürssen presents an opportunity to question established approaches, building on more than 150 years of accumulated knowledge and seeking to advance what is possible with each delivery. This year alone, Lürssen has realised solutions developed specifically for the demands of individual projects, from enormous glass structures and innovative dry dock solutions to large permanent exterior LED screens and radically reconfigured layouts.
The Lürssen refit division has been equally busy, completing six major refits in northern Germany this year, with a combined length in excess of 650 metres. Among them was the 136-metre HADAR (ex. FLYING FOX), which in parallel to a full paint job and engine overhaul, was installed with a custom, folding mast to reduce her air draft by six metres, to open even further cruising potential.
“Our refit division has given us the opportunity to truly support our clients at every stage of Ownership,” says York Ilgner, Managing Director of Lürssen Werft Hamburg. “Just like our new build colleagues, we are prepared for the most complex and intellectually stimulating requests. This is equally true for both motor and sailing yachts.”
Lürssen also offers a comprehensive global support service through its Fast Operations and Repair Unit (FORU), which has continued to grow year-on-year. As part of this expansion, the company plans to open a dedicated service centre in the Mediterranean. Tarragona, Spain, has been selected as the location for the centre, which will operate as a working base in a region with a significant concentration of Lürssen and wider fleet activity. For those cruising further afield, FORU will continue to fly out to support them.
