Antonini Navi Launches custom 31-metre Evo 31

Designed by Hydro Tec and Hot Lab, this steel-and-aluminium vessel offers four decks of flexible, highly customizable social spaces.

At a private ceremony, Antonini Navi marked the launch of Evo 31, a 31.2-metre custom yacht designed to offer the space, comfort and quality of life on board normally associated with larger vessels. Built from steel and aluminium, Evo 31 combines contemporary design with advanced technical solutions, demonstrating how bespoke metal construction can be a viable option even in this size range. The exterior design and naval architecture are by Hydro Tec, while the interiors were developed by Hot Lab. This joint effort by the two studios has resulted in a boat with a strong identity, where aesthetics, functionality and attention to detail coexist in perfect balance. Spanning four decks, Evo 31 stands out for her spacious interiors and generous outdoor spaces. Each area has been designed to promote comfort and an informal lifestyle on board, while maintaining a modern and distinctive exterior design.

The layout of Evo 31 fully reflects the bespoke approach driving the project. Unlike the traditional layout of most yachts in this category, the Main Deck is home neither to an owner’s suite in the bow nor to a formal saloon. The entire deck is designed as an expansive social space, organised around a spacious central lounge that flows seamlessly into the aft cockpit and outdoor areas. The multifunctional area at the bow – with a private terrace incorporated in the hull – can be used as a dining area, an office or a space for meetings and work. The result is an open, flexible deck, characterised by strong connections between the interiors and exteriors.

The Upper Deck is home to the helm station and the areas reserved for the owner. The Master Cabin and a spacious private aft terrace, complete with lounge bar and jacuzzi, are designed as one continuous, private space, from which to enjoy the cruise and the sea in complete privacy. This layout is typically found on larger yachts and results in a clear separation between the owner’s private spaces and the guest areas. On the Sun Deck, which extends over 78 square metres, the dining area, barbecue and sunpad come together to form one of the most spacious areas for socialising and relaxing in this category

The Lower Deck is home to four guest cabins, the crew quarters and the service areas. There has also been a sharp focus on operational aspects, with three crew cabins, a spacious engine room designed to facilitate access and maintenance, and a side garage that can accommodate a tender up to five metres in length. A particularly interesting choice is the decision to put the crew mess on the Main Deck, with direct access to the galley, which improves service efficiency by reducing the need for the crew to move around the yacht. The engine room and aft lazarette have also been designed with generous dimensions and optimised layouts to simplify on-board operations.

The steel hull and aluminium superstructure are built to commercial construction standards, in accordance with MCA and Cayman Islands requirements. The systems, developed to the same standards as those found on larger yachts, include a tropicalised air-conditioning system and automatic voltage converters for connecting to the various electricity networks available in international ports.

“With EVO 31, we wanted to break the mould and demonstrate that, even in this size category, we have the capabilities to build safe, modern, top-quality bespoke metal yachts, with interior and exterior liveability comparable to that of much larger vessels. We have combined a distinctive aesthetic with high-calibre construction and systems solutions, at the same time as keeping costs highly competitive. EVO 31 demonstrates that steel can be a viable alternative to fibreglass even for yachts of this size, representing a choice that offers strength, safety, the highest quality and great design freedom,” comments Antonini Navi.

Delivery of the yacht is planned for spring 2027.
