At 2,220 GT, the new 80-metre yacht marks a new chapter in the construction of large custom yachts for ISA Yachts.
ISA Yachts, a Palumbo Superyachts brand, announces the launch of the new ISA Custom 80m M/Y Belita. With an overall length of 79.82 metres and a gross tonnage of 2,220 GT, she officially becomes the shipyard’s new flagship. The launch represents a particularly significant achievement for ISA Yachts and confirms the shipyard’s ability to operate at the highest level in the construction of large, fully custom superyachts, managing the engineering, production and organisational complexity required by projects of this scale.
This is also the second 80-metre yacht built by Palumbo Superyachts, following the Columbus Classic 80m M/Y Dragon. It further consolidates a wealth of expertise that is now reflected in a portfolio of large ISA yachts under construction, including vessels of up to 100 metres and projects ranging from 80 to 90 metres within the ISA Large Yacht Collection. ISA Custom 80m M/Y Belita bears the signatures of some of the most authoritative names in international yachting and design. The exterior lines are by Espen Øino International, while Peter Marino Architect is responsible for the interior design. The naval architecture was developed by Hydro Tec.
“A launch is always a special moment, but seeing M/Y Belita in the water today holds particular significance for us. Behind a yacht of this scale are years of work, thousands of decisions and the contribution of hundreds of people, all united by a single objective: to achieve the highest possible standard at every stage of construction,” says Giuseppe Palumbo, Sole Director of Palumbo Superyachts. “This 80-metre yacht fully embodies our approach to construction: rigour, attention to detail and a pursuit of quality that allows no shortcuts. It is an achievement of which we are especially proud. ISA Custom 80m is the second yacht of this size built by Palumbo Superyachts after M/Y Dragon, and for us this has a precise meaning: what once represented a major accomplishment is now part of our shipbuilding heritage. It is the quality of this heritage, even before the size of our yachts, against which we intend to continue measuring ourselves.”
The lines designed by Espen Øino International express a clean, rigorous architecture, in which the proportions of a yacht measuring almost 80 metres are lightened by an exceptionally sleek profile and a visually compact superstructure. Long expanses of dark glazing run across the decks, emphasising their horizontal character, while the succession of volumes descending towards the stern creates a strong visual continuity with the sea.
Aft, the architecture opens progressively towards the water through expansive terraces and a striking pool area, creating a space conceived as a natural extension of the onboard environments. The interiors by Peter Marino Architect were developed as a fully bespoke project, conceived around the Owner’s vision. Architecture, design and craftsmanship come together to define highly personal spaces, where an exceptional degree of customisation complements the construction quality of the entire yacht.
With a maximum beam of 12.50 metres and a full-load draft of 3.40 metres, ISA Custom 80m is powered by two MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines, each delivering 2,240 kW. The yacht is expected to reach a top speed of 18 knots, with a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of approximately 7,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. The new ISA Custom 80m now joins the ISA Yachts fleet as the brand’s new flagship, representing one of the most significant expressions of Palumbo Superyachts’ ability to transform large-scale, fully custom projects into yachts built to the highest quality standards.
