Designed in close collaboration with its owner, M/Y Maverick is a 146-foot explorer yacht that combines the iconic angular lines of the Flexplorer series with sleek curves and details inspired by the tail fins of the F-14 Tomcat.
The result is a uniquely innovative vessel that redefines luxury in maritime exploration. Among its standout features is the main deck, equipped with fold-down bulwarks that expand the beam to 12 meters, creating an open space of 125 square meters.
A hidden jacuzzi, concealed beneath a sliding teak panel, achieves the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics.
The main deck salon features panoramic windows, offering constant connection to the surroundings, including a starboard-side floor- to-ceiling window measuring 1.8 meters in height and 3.6 meters in length, delivering breathtaking views. The upper deck is dedicated to the owner’s suite, complete with spacious private balconies accessible via sliding doors.
Maverick is built for long voyages to the most remote destinations. Its steel hull and aluminum superstructure provide maximum durability and performance, enabling a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
With a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 14 knots, the yacht ensures comfort even at anchor or during coastal explorations, thanks to its advanced stabilizers.
The true structural innovation lies in Maverick’s transverse framing layout, reflecting Cantiere delle Marche’s philosophy of robust and efficient construction. With a longitudinal spacing of just 500 mm, the structure optimizes the hull plating thickness, minimizing internal structural intrusion while maximizing accommodation space.
Lightweight alloys for structural elements and reduced-weight materials for interiors further enhance performance. Like many explorers from the yard, Maverick is equipped with an “ice belt,” a reinforced longitudinal band along the waterline (+/- 500 mm), designed to protect against ice blocks.
While similar yachts feature hull thicknesses of 5–6 mm, Maverick’s ice belt boasts an impressive 12 mm, more than twice the standard, offering superior protection and durability.
At the operational heart of Maverick is its retractable A-frame system, allowing for the safe launching and recovery of large tenders without causing transverse tilt. This mechanism, a hallmark of the Flexplorer series, ensures exceptional operational efficiency.
Onboard spaces offer luxury and comfort for up to 13 guests across seven elegant suites, designed by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. To preserve the aft deck’s load capacity, living quarters are concentrated forward, with an additional deck for the wheelhouse and the captain’s cabin.
An exclusive highlight is the panoramic crow’s nest with 360-degree views, perfect for admiring stunning landscapes.
