Two sales in one week for Baglietto, which signed the sixth and the seventh hull of the successful DOM133 line; this marks the fourth order secured by the Italian-based boat builder since the beginning of 2022.
Both sales were finalized thanks to the effective collaboration with Northrop & Johnson: Sean Doyle from N&J Fort Lauderdale introduced the Owner of the hull #10249 while Charles Hervé from N&J Monaco representing the buyer of hull #10252.
“We are all thrilled about these new orders – says Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto CCO – Baglietto is living a very happy sale season and we are proud to have closed 4 contracts in just 3 months. A special thanks goes to the Northrop & Johnson team for their active cooperation and hard work to finalize these two deals. It was a great teamwork! “.
Both hulls 10249 and 10252 will feature a highly customized layout “marking once again – continues Ermetto– the strong attitude of the Baglietto shipyard as an “atelier” highly flexible and with a great propensity for a truly made-to-measure product, also favored by the choice of aluminum as a privileged construction material”
In particular, with hull no. 10252 Baglietto continues to further invest into technology and research of sustainable and eco-friendly solutions. Indeed, the new DOM 133 will be equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that combines traditional diesel engines, e-motors and batteries depending on operational needs to reduce consumption and environmental impact while increasing efficiency and onboard comfort, also thanks to noise and vibrations reduction both at anchor and cruising. The range with diesel electric mode can reach up 690 nm and the yacht can stay up to 10 hours at anchor only on batteries. Nevertheless, the yacht is capable to reach a considerable 17 knots max speed thanks to two CAT C32 engines.
‘DOM’ stands for Domus, meaning “home” in Latin – adds designer Stefano Vafiadis- Indeed, the idea of a ‘home away from home’ lies at the core of this series of mid-size, aluminum cruisers modelled around the functional and lifestyle needs of modern yacht owners. The line presents a distinctive family feeling by combining contemporary exterior lines inspired by automotive design with generous interior volumes and extensive open-air spaces.
“We are extremely proud to be part of two Baglietto hull sales in less than one week,” says Northrop & Johnson President & COO Daniel Ziriakus. “Baglietto is an exceptional brand that builds incredible yachts with Italian style and pedigree. We are proud to be aligned with a brand that emphasizes the same values as Northrop & Johnson, including sustainability as hull no. 10252 offers eco-friendly solutions that will help move the yachting industry to a more eco-conscious place — a cause near and dear to N&J. We thank our dedicated, expert brokers, Sean and Charles, for their diligence and hard work to bring these deals to fruition and look forward to many more successes with Baglietto.”
