For the Solaris Yachts Yard, the year 2020 is proving a challenge.
However, our maturity and expertise means we can weather these storms and still continue the improvement and evolution of our sailing yacht designs. At Solaris Yachts we areforever in pursuit of creativity, aiming to offer a complete and evermore innovative range of products designed to meet the needs and desires of those ownersseeking high performance, speed, responsiveness and clear manoeuvres. All this is combined with the maximum of on-board comfort.
With this in mind, Solaris has renewed its collaboration with the Argentinian designer Javier Soto Acebal, who since 2009 has been designing and signing the deck and water lines, the appendages and the sail plan, with a technical and aesthetic touchthat evolves from yacht to yacht. The result are yachts at the forefront of cutting edge design and perfectly in tune with the sea.
Eleven years of collaboration haveled to a significant changein the concept and design of our sailing yachts’ basics: technology, performance and comfort. Moreover, the Solaris Team collaborates with qualified and renowned designers, like the architect Lucio Micheletti, the architect Patrick Roséo and the MYT Monaco, which handled the design of the deck and the interior layout of the Solaris 111, the largest yacht ever built in the Solaris history.
In only one year, this strategy has made the launch of 4 new models possible. This will expand the Solaris range, confirming the Solaris brand as a worldwide leader in sailing.
SOLARIS 40 – Launch in September 2020
The Solaris 40
All her 12.36 metres are a result of an intense design study, characterized by analysis and enhancement of every single centimetre and element on deck. The result is remarkable: the Solaris 40 guarantees a space of 1.5 metres between the two steering wheels, a distance never before created in a yacht under 100 feet. Our innovative new design, sees usset the twin wheels outside the footprint of the sprayhood, allowing the jib’s talesto be clearly visible. The exit from the cockpit is effortless. Two agile strides is all that is needed to transition from cockpit to side deck. In this we have achieved something truly unique.
The cockpit reaches maximum and unique levels of comfort for a 40 footyacht: the distance between the two steering wheels increases its already optimal usability, upliftsher elegance and herclarity lines, resulting in a wide-ranging aerial viewand an original and brilliant design. Whether choosing the version with 2 cabins and 2 bathrooms, or opting for the version with 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms, the Solaris 40 offers a large storage space:noticethe wardrobe in the owner’s cabin, equipped with several customizable shelves and a space for long dresses. All comfort details are particularly studied.

SOLARIS 60 – Launch August 2020
The Solaris 60 is pure elegance. She was born from the idea of conceivinga Mini-Maxi, that would be the epitomy of clean decks and sleek lines, combininghigh comfort and maximum performance in a sailing yacht with an overall length of 18.31 meters. This length allows her to participate inMini-Maxi class offshore races, including the main event of Porto Cervo that take place every year, an illustrious and historical yacht race, well attended by yacht owners and sailors from all over the world. The Solaris 60 is a new dimension:her main innovation is in the cockpit. Thanks to her full width steering wheels, you can steer the yacht without the intrusion of the sprayhood. This ensures that the jib’s luff is always completely left in sight while sailing.
The width of the steering wheels allows to lower the lifelines in the aft area and to lift them near the two steps that lead to the side decks. This solution is normally adopted in much larger yachts of over 140 ft. Among the strong points of this model, we find: adjustable aft seats allowing to steer in different sea conditions, even sitting down; a coachroof barely sketched by a thin raised line that ends before the mast, letting the wide cockpit and the deck flowing into the extraordinary reverse bow; wide side walks; a unique and balanced impulse of delicacy and sailing performance.
Below deck you will find a typical Solaris layout, embellished by brilliant ideas and assets: the galley slightly hidden by two steps forward and for the first time, two aft cabins with single beds (or double) equipped with a wide porthole facing the interior of the cockpit. This innovation allows the light to enter in every secondary cabin. The owner cabin is extremely wide, comfortable and valuable and equipped with a wide storage area and with the option of an outboard or central bed. Special focus has also been given to the crew cabin, which is situated in the bow and equipped with a separate bathroom. The tender garage, with longitudinal access, has a minimum intrusionon the aft cabins.

Overall length 18.31 meters

Draft 2.80 – 3.20 meters – lifting keel option
SOLARIS 80 RS
The Solaris 80RS is ayacht conceived, studied and designed for important long-term oceanic cruises. A targeted study has imagined and created an incredible synergy between the spaces on and below deck.
This combination of dimensions, which are of significant importance, has allowed the design of a unique and innovative dinette: clear light, open horizon, clean and vast extensions, prestigious comfort. An experience to try: the environment shines thanks to the coachroof windows, ideal both for those who want to live below deck without renouncing the light of the sun and the glares of the sky and the sea, and for those who require design and clean lines even on deck. Below the saloon there is the engine room, cleverly inserted and insulated.
Two completely different interior versions are available: by choosing the first one, the owner’s cabin will be positioned in the bow, giving maximum space, privacy and silence, with an aft-oriented galley and dinette; alternatively you can choose the version with the aft owner cabin, so that the dinette and galley develop agile, flowing and functional spaces. Whatever the choice of the owner, the yacht is set up with 4 double cabins, each with their own bathrooms with shower and the skipper and crew cabins, equipped with respective bathrooms with shower.
Externally, the 80RS is surprising: an extremely clean and ergonomic hull, the result of a study that combines technique and nautical art, and designed to make such an elaborate project “simple and essential”. Such an incisive aesthetic allows the design of the cockpit line on one floor.
Despite the extreme complexity and intelligence of the design, the Solaris 80RS achieves a clear separation between the sailing cockpitand the relaxation area, providing the opportunity to take advantage of many outdoor environments, designed for every need: sport, performances and fun, all combined with a dimension of quiet and extreme comfort.
The elegant cockpit is characterized by a central companionway entrance equipped with two tables with relative sofa-seats. No less important are the large and luxurious aft beach, a must to fully enjoy the potential of direct access to the sea, and the transversal access to the tender garage, that facilitates the movements on board. Since the Solaris 80RS is a yacht with a high rate of customization, designed precisely to meet the unique needs of the owner, it will also be available in the version with offset companionway entrance and one cockpit table and with longitudinal access to the tender garage.

Overall length 23.98 meters

SOLARIS 111 – LAUNCH 12th August 2020
The Solaris 111 is the biggest yacht to ever leave the doors of our shipyard and possesses every bit of the famous Solaris DNA. Breaking the 100-foot mark means a step into the world of superyachts with a whole list of client’s requests, which have been combined with Solaris’ legendary performance characteristics.
Any Solaris connoisseur will immediately recognize the stiffness, attention to detail and impeccable craftsmanship they have come to love and be proud of. The highest quality composite materials in carbon fiber pre-preg are used to produce hull and deck, for superb strength to weight ratio as per the very latest composite technology. The high-tech construction, proven performance-oriented naval architecture by our long-time collaborator and friend Soto Acebal, top of the line componentry and an ultra-high-performance rig and sail plan make this yacht a true race horse when needed.
Special attention has been paid to the comfort needs of the modern superyacht owner. The Monaco-based studio MYT has skillfully created a 40m2 master cabin combined with her and his bathrooms, direct access to the yacht’s stern and “beach club”, as well as a step-less passage to the main companionway to provide for the comfortable cruising that large sailing yacht owners have come to expect. No effort has been spared to keep noise and vibration levels throughout the yacht, both under sail and motoring, well below industry standards.
The owner in search of serious sailing performance, true blue water cruising capabilities, and uncompromised comfort on board, all assembled by the famous Solaris team of yacht builders, will not want to step off the Solaris 111.
