The Tuxedo 54 Forever Young has just been launched

Elegant in form and innovative in technical solutions, it is a boat that perfectly embodies the construction excellence and taste for design that distinguish the Tuxedo Yachting House shipyard of siblings Laura and Francesco Ceccarelli.

Supervising the project and construction both philosophically and practically was a strong focus on reducing environmental impact and ensuring sustainability, which only an aluminum boat can guarantee, especially when the hull lines are optimized to reduce consumption.

Fire-resistant and more impact-resistant than any counterpart in other materials, this new masterpiece of high Italian naval craftsmanship is characterized by:

  • An unparalleled width of 5.20 meters, the largest in its category;
  • Onboard systems and equipment that make it more akin to a large 30-meter yacht than a 16-meter open, both in terms of design and the quality and type of components;
  • Unmatched customization, available without paying the price of a one-off: thanks to aluminum, which does not require molds, it is possible to modify, even during the build, every element of the boat, from the layout of the interiors and deck to the type of propulsion.

The recently launched unit is equipped with 2 Scania V-Drive inboard engines, 1000 HP each, allowing for a cruising speed of 32 knots and a top speed of 36 knots. However, in the standard version, the Scania V-Drive engines are 750 hp each, providing a cruising speed of 27 knots and a top speed of 34 knots.

Technical Components

The steering, power management, and trim control sustems are provided by Quick Group, specifically by XENTA, which is part of it. On the Tuxedo 54 Forever Young, the following XENTA systems have been installed:

  • X-STEER, the Helm by Wire steering system in the Self-Centering version – this system is programmed to optimize the return to the center of the helm after high-speed turns, making it as effective, fast, and safe as possible, providing a superior feeling in driving the boat.
  • X-DOCK, the XENTA Joystick that offers the ability to perform complex maneuvers easily and with maximum precision.
  • X-POWER, the engine and transmission control system that makes their management simpler and more effective.
  • X-DP, the Dynamic Positioning system, which keeps the boat stationary with the bow oriented at the same compass degrees without the need for anchoring.
  • Moreover, Quick Group has also provided the Intruder system called Intercepta X, which is fully integrated with XENTA products. This system optimizes navigation trim and accelerates the boat’s planing entry.

Onboard electronics management is entrusted to MASTERVOLT systems.

The equipment on this boat is fully optional. Onboard and in the engine room, you’ll find, among other key components for comfort and functionality: a 14 kW generator, an 80 l/h watermaker, a lithium battery pack for service power, four battery chargers, a bow thruster, a water pump, an inverter, a gyroscopic stabilizer, an isolation transformer, a fuel purification system, an air conditioning system, and much more. Additionally, the vessel includes a structural fuel tank with a capacity of 3500 liters, a fresh water tank of 500 liters, and also tanks for black and gray water.

The hull is made from lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy 5083, which is highly resistant to seawater corrosion and exceptionally strong after welding. It features a deck covered in Flexiteak, stainless steel handrails on the walkways and helm station, and a spacious sunbathing area at the bow that can accommodate up to four people.

Tuxedo 54 Forever Young – Layout

The aft area features a large U-shaped sofa with a removable dining table that can accommodate up to 10 people. This table can be converted into a second sunbathing area, comparable in size to the one at the bow.

The setup is completed with two convenient drawer refrigerators, an electric bimini with fabric matching the roof color, and a well-equipped cabinet with an ice maker, a small sink, and countertop space, making it very useful for serving cocktails.

Entering the living area, on the starboard side, there is a comfortable U-shaped sofa with a dining table and stainless steel leg. On the port side, there’s a large cabinet that conceals a substantial sink, an induction cooktop, a large custom refrigerator (typically installed on yachts of 30 meters in length), a microwave, and a coffee machine. From the same cabinet, facing the sofa, there is a drop-down mechanism for a 43” smart TV and a Bose hi-fi system.

The philosophy of TUXEDO YACHTING HOUSE, founded by Laura and Francesco Ceccarelli, encompasses not only a focus on elegance and style but also a commitment to the client’s well-being. This is realized by ensuring ample natural light and a constant airflow onboard. On the Tuxedo 54, Forever Young, the living area features a large windshield and expansive side windows that can be opened. Additionally, it is equipped with two electric side windows and two electric glass sunroofs, along with a wide aft door with dual independent openings. All these elements ensure that the owner and guests can always enjoy natural light and a pleasant sea breeze.

The command console, located on the starboard side, with a custom Tuxedo-style helm seat, is comfortable and well-structured. It is organized both in its layout and in the selection of equipment (as seen above) more in line with a large yacht than a 16-meter vessel.

The interiors are of high quality, featuring oak wood, leather, and lacquered finishes. The owner’s cabin, located in the bow area, includes a double bed measuring 1.80 x 2.10 meters, along with several storage compartments, a large drawer, two double-door wardrobes, and niches on either side of the bed. The flooring is oak parquet, providing the comfort of walking barefoot.

The owner’s cabin is further enhanced by a large skylight with an electric blackout blind, adding even more light to a cabin that already has two large side windows with opening portholes. Additionally, this vessel is equipped with a tropical air conditioning system and heating to ensure perfect climate control regardless of the season.

The other cabin, located towards the aft, follows a similar design concept. On the starboard side, the guest cabin is arranged on two levels: upon entering, there is a large wardrobe, and descending two steps, you find two single beds with a central nightstand, a large window, and an opening porthole. On the port side is the crew cabin, equipped with a single bed and an internal toilet.

Each cabin has its own independent bathroom, each equipped with a freshwater electric toilet and a bidet. The owner’s bathroom also features a spacious separate shower comparable to a domestic one and large windows to ensure natural light inside.

Both the interiors and the covered areas use a combination of LED strips and spotlights, all managed electronically to ensure optimal control of lighting throughout the boat.
Every detail in the sleeping area is designed to make the owner feel at home and provide a more than comfortable stay at sea for at least five guests.

Why a Tuxedo is only a Tuxedo

In short, the new model by the Ceccarelli brothers, a unique piece like all the units created by the shipyard, elevates to a higher level all the strengths and key values that define Tuxedo Yachting House creations, namely:

Unmatched experience and know-how, honed over more than 60 years in the construction of aluminum boats and yachts up to 54 meters in length, ensuring the quality and level of the final product;

The dedication to uniqueness, reflecting the utmost attention to the needs and desires of each client;

The assurance of value, based on reliability and solid expertise in designing and building safe, lightweight, durable, and always efficient naval architectures, even in adverse weather conditions;

The burning passion for boats, the sea, and those who choose to navigate it;

Last but not least, sustainability: thanks to aluminum, a Tuxedo does not release volatile substances during its construction, does not produce plastic molds and other typical waste of mass production, allows for efficient navigation even at low speeds—reducing consumption and emissions—and is over 90% recyclable.
