The KORONAKIS Group has once again demonstrated its dynamic support for one of the most demanding and thrilling sailing events in the world. As a proud sponsor of the AEGEAN 600, the Group witnessed the spectacular start of the race’s 6th edition, which set sail on 5 July from the iconic Cape Sounio, right beneath the ancient Temple of Poseidon.
This year’s AEGEAN 600 lived up to its reputation as a true test for elite sailors, pushing crews and vessels to their limits across the Aegean Sea. The prestigious event brought together 71 spectacular yachts from around the globe and more than 700 experienced international sailors.
The fleet embarked on a grueling, non-stop 600-nautical-mile journey weaving through the historic islands of the Aegean, navigating under challenging weather conditions as strong northeasterly winds reached 20–25 knots, delivering high-speed action and elite-level sailing.
Organised by the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC), in cooperation with Olympic Marine and the Region of Attica, the AEGEAN 600 continues to stand as a landmark event and a pinnacle of international offshore sailing.
