The new Fly 70, the perfect expression of the contemporary flybridge, joins the Seadeck 9, Magellano 27M and Grande 44M, marking Azimut’s most impressive presence ever at Cannes.
With the world premiere of the Fly 70, Azimut enriches its presence at the Cannes Yachting Festival, showcasing the expressive maturity of of the flybridge, a segment that Azimut has placed at the heart of the yachting scenery – establishing its global success – and which continues to evolve while staying true to its original vocation: marrying the sporty character of the exteriors with sophisticated interior architecture to shape today’s demands. The Fly 70, more than ever, embodies the yacht as a space for gathering, quality time, and connection with the sea. It is precisely by responding to these contemporary values that Azimut’s Flybridge series reaffirms its position as a benchmark for the sector. Shaping the new generation is an exceptional design duo: Alberto Mancini for the exteriors and Fabio Fantolino for the interiors, having previously collaborated on the acclaimed Fly 62, Fly 72, and Fly 82 models.
Alberto Mancini’s stylistic inspiration is condensed into the image of a vessel “sculpted by nature and shaped by water.” The designer draws sinuous, clean, and sporty lines, conceived to stand the test of time and create a family-friendly yacht where balanced volumes combine form and substance. For the interiors, Fabio Fantolino brings his signature refined eclecticism on board: a tailored architecture in which contemporary design culture blends with a profound sensitivity to materials, light, and unexpected details. According to his approach, every piece of furniture is an integral part of the harmony between aesthetics and livability, capable of creating warm, sophisticated, and timeless atmospheres. The union between the power of the exterior and the refinement of the interior finds its maximum expression in the yacht’s three key focal points.
The extended cockpit and its two souls
Extended to transform into a true terrace overlooking the sea, shaded and livable, the cockpit of the new Fly 70 houses a dining table for eight. The Terrace Cockpit version (on display in Cannes) offers an infinity view of the sea for dining through a transparent aft parapet and a stern-facing layout. It also features a large floor storage compartment for the entire family’s many accessories and water toys. The Beach Cockpit option eliminates all barriers with a synchronous mechanism that opens the transom and lowers the bench, creating a sunpad flush with the water: a solution already beloved on the Fly 62.
The flybridge
A 360-degree open-plan space, organized into three distinct functional areas: a forward sundeck adjacent to the helm station, a central C-shaped dinette with a serviced wet bar, and an aft terrace free from structural constraints, which can be furnished with freestanding furniture. Shading the area is a fiberglass hard top with a distinctive design, characterized by rigorously vertical uprights and a top that flows fluidly around the rollbar, extending toward the bow.
The Main Deck Layout
The interior architecture effortlessly delineates the conversation area from the dining room, maintaining absolute visual continuity throughout the deck. The living area unfolds around two counter-facing sofas offering panoramic views, framed by a refined selection of materials: brown suede, organically designed carpeting by cc-Tapis, Green River marble for the coffee table, and Taj Mahal marble for the dining table, served with chairs designed by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World. A sculptural sunshade with wood and brushed bronze slats partially screens the galley, ensuring discretion without isolating the space.
On the lower deck, eight guests are accommodated across four cabins, dominated by the master suite amidships, designed around a refined interplay of diagonal lines and embellished with Bronze Amani marble. Built with an extensive application of carbon fiber (Carbon Tech Generation) and powered by twin Volvo IPS 1350 engines for a top speed of 31 knots, the new model captures and renews the most authentic attitude of the flybridge.
Azimut Silent Technology – Pure
Azimut Silent Technology is the innovation programme developed by Azimut to deliver an increasingly quieter and more sustainable onboard experience. Leading this programme is an in-house Applied Technology Laboratory, a team of researchers and designers dedicated to turning research insights into concrete, scalable solutions across the different segments of the Azimut fleet. This development activity has led to the solution installed for the first time on the Fly 70: a particulate filter that, through the synergistic action of a silencer, ceramic blocks and a nitrogen oxide catalyst, cuts particulate emissions by 95% and halves sound pressure levels, reducing noise by more than 5 dBA: the equivalent of going from a busy street to a quiet residential neighborhood. For owners of the Fly 70, this means enjoying time at anchor while breathing cleaner air and free from the hum of the generator.
The Fly 70 thus joins the fleet of world premieres presented by Azimut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, joining three of the Shipyard’s flagship models:
- Magellano 27M: The Magellano 27M is the third chapter of a journey charted in the early 2000s by Paolo and Giovanna Vitelli’s intuition. They were the first to have the audacity to bring together two distant worlds: the character of American trawlers and the elegance of Italian design. This gave rise to the first crossover of the seas, an expression of the freedom to navigate beyond time and trends. Today, this philosophy finds its most accomplished expression in the dialogue between the Nordic character of Jarkko Jämsén and the architectural mastery of AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, making their debut in yacht interiors with a Main Deck that unfolds as an unprecedented Mediterranean loggia overlooking the water.
- Seadeck 9: The Fun Island is a stage at water level: a cascade of terraces dominated by a transparent plunge pool, designed to embrace the horizon and the fullness of time free from constraints. The layout flows seamlessly into the saloon as one uninterrupted space, free of visual barriers, where the warm minimalism of Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez caresses the clean lines of Alberto Mancini. At anchor, innovation takes the form of gentle technology: Mild Hybrid mode ensures a pure, silent, smoke-free experience.
