Νew concepts by Rosetti Superyachts

Since unveiling its first 85m Supply Vessel concept to wide acclaim, Rosetti Superyachts has been analysing the market to develop custom solutions that meet the needs of today’s discerning owners.

The results of this research are two innovative concepts at opposite ends of the size spectrum that combine the brand’s technical expertise with the design flair of Tommaso Spadolini.

48M SUPPLY VESSEL
With elegantly understated exterior styling and signature strip windows by the renowned Italian designer, the 48m Supply Vessel is a sub-500GT, ‘pocket-sized’ version of her larger cousin.

“Incorporating the philosophy of our 85m Supply Vessel into a 48m yacht of less than 500GT was quite a challenge,” says Fulvio Dodich – RSY partner and chairman. “It meant optimising the interior and exterior layout to ensure efficient use of space, while maintaining independent circulation flows for guests and crew. At the same time, we were able to offer custom options to suit the lifestyles of different owners and enhance the yacht’s flexibility.”

The open aft deck of almost 18m in length, for example, provides adventurous owners with the required space for carrying large tenders or for touch-and-go helicopter operations (the yacht could also be built to Ice Class criteria). Alternatively, it can be used as an open-air beach club with infinity pool – and a second spa pool on the sundeck – along with socialising spaces and entertainment features.

In terms of interior layout, owners can choose to have the master stateroom on the upper deck overlooking a private aft deck, or a full-beam suite on the main deck forward with study, separate walk-in wardrobes and His and Hers bathrooms. In this version, the upper deck serves as a skylounge with al fresco dining facilities. The accommodation for eight guests on the lower deck comprises four generous cabins with en suite bathrooms.

Smooth service is ensured with independent crew access to guest areas and spacious pantries on the main and upper decks, both served by a dumb waiter from the large galley. For operational efficiency, the chef engineer’s cabin is next to the engine room and the captain’s cabin behind the bridge. There is also a dedicated laundry room on the lower deck.

Powered by twin MTU 12V2000M72 engines (1080 kW @ 2250 rpm) or by 2 X CAT C32 970 (KW 2100 rpm – B RATING), the 48m Supply Vessel will have a top speed of 16 knots and cruise at 14 knots.

85M SUPERYACHT
The 85m Superyacht of 2,700GT is based on the same technical platform by Rolls Royce as the 85m Supply Vessel, with minor modifications to account for the different weight distribution of the superstructure, but her sleek exterior styling by Tommaso Spadolini reveals a very different purpose.

RosettiSuper 3

“Simplicity and elegance are the leitmotifs of the exterior design,” says the designer Tommaso Spadolini. “Whereas the Supply Vessel has more utilitarian lines befitting her explorer vocation, the superyacht has a softer, more sinuous profile, while the reverse bow adds a hint of determination and aggression.”

“This is a high-volume superyacht that offers huge owner and guest spaces, both inside and out,” says Dodich. “But as always, we can offer bespoke solutions. We’ve developed a version with four decks instead of five, for example, which reduces the gross tonnage and provides a more sporty profile. It’s completely up to the individual client.”

Both versions offer all the bespoke amenities – and more – that you would expect aboard a superyacht of her size and gross tonnage, but arguably the standout feature is the enormous beach club and wellness area. Housing a gym with a panoramic glass wall overlooking the swim platform, plus massage room, sauna and hamman, when the two side terraces are deployed the beam is extended to 19m. The adjacent large garage can hold two tenders and a wide array of water toys.

Another highlight is the master stateroom on the upper deck forward that covers 123 sq/m, excluding the His and Hers bathrooms. The suite has been designed to be completely separate from the guest areas with independent access to a private swimming pool (the guest pool is on the main deck aft) and the touch-and-go helideck.

Four guest cabins and a full-beam VIP suite are located on the main deck forward to take advantage of the large windows and abundant natural light. Besides the beach club, the lower deck is dedicated to the galley and crew area. Indeed, crew services and operational considerations are critical on such a large yacht capable of spending long periods at sea without shore support. For this reason, the yacht has a tank-top deck level with additional cold and dry stores, a workshop, laundry and linen storage room.

Powered by a diesel-electric propulsion package comprising four MTU 16V 4000 M43S (2140 kWe) engines combined with two Rolls Royce Azipull thrusters for optimal hydrodynamic efficiency and low noise and vibration, the 85m Superyacht will have a top speed of 20 knots and a range of 5,500nm at a cruising speed of 15 knots.

“These two new proposals illustrate the ability of Rosetti Superyachts to meet market aspirations for custom vessels of varying function and size, without compromising on construction quality and seaworthiness,” concludes Dodich. “They are Made-in-Italy yachts designed and built to the highest technical and safety standards that distinguish the entire Rosetti Marino group of companies.”
