The new Swan 80 has been launched in Pietarsaari

World premiere scheduled at the Cannes Yachting Festival, followed by her sailing debut at the Rolex Swan Cup, dedicated to the 60th anniversary year of the shipyard.

Nautor Swan unveils the new Swan 80 marking another chapter in its Maxi philosophy — where performance, elegance and freedom converge just below the 24-metre threshold. Launched in a traditional Finnish ceremony at the shipyard in Pietarsaari, the Swan 80 represents both continuity and evolution. She is born from a proud lineage of ocean-going Swan 80s that have raced, cruised and circumnavigated the world, while at the same time defining a new generation — one that translates maxi yacht capability into a more versatile and owner-friendly format. Positioned as the entry point to the Swan Maxi range, the Swan 80 delivers the volume, presence and offshore capability of a significantly larger yacht, while remaining just under 24 metres. This balance unlocks a rare combination of performance freedom, regulatory simplicity and long-range cruising confidence.

The Swan 80 brings together the maxi yacht signature of naval architect Germán Frers, exterior stylist Lucio Micheletti, and interior designer Misa Poggi. The result is a yacht that feels both powerful and refined — with the unmistakable Swan Maxi silhouette already seen on the Swan 88, 108 and Swan 128, now distilled into a more agile, accessible format. Clean volumes, a low profile coachroof and a long, uninterrupted deck create a sense of motion even at rest. Below deck, the philosophy is one of intelligent flexibility. The interior can shift between cruising comfort, guest-focused layouts and more open social configurations, reflecting the evolving way owners use their yachts today.

Rooted in Swan’s offshore heritage, the hull is designed for confidence at sea — whether crossing oceans or fast-reaching in Mediterranean conditions. Twin rudders provide control and precision under heel, while a refined bow entry and powerful aft sections ensure balance between speed, stability and comfort over long passages. The construction combines foam-cored glass fibre reinforced epoxy with carbon fibre reinforcements, delivering strength without compromise. Safety and redundancy are embedded in every detail, from sacrificial rudder tips to sealed structural compartments and multiple keel options, including deep fixed, shallow and telescopic lifting configurations.

The Swan 80 deck expresses a clear philosophy: purity of line, freedom of movement, and effortless control. A near flush teak surface flows from cockpit to stern, uninterrupted, framing a working environment that remains elegant in every mode of sailing. Twin helm stations define the sailing experience, while winches and controls are positioned for intuitive handling in both short-handed and fully crewed configurations. Aft, the cockpit transforms with ease — from protected cruising lounge to open racing space or social terrace. At anchor, the transom becomes a direct connection to the sea, opening into a beach platform with integrated access to the swimming area and tender garage, extending life naturally toward the water.

Below deck, the Swan 80 is defined by adaptability and quiet sophistication. The first hull configuration features a forward master suite, a forward VIP cabin and two aft guest cabins, complemented by discreet aft crew quarters with independent access — ensuring privacy and seamless service. Technical areas are intelligently integrated beneath the saloon sole, maximising volume while preserving a calm and uncluttered guest environment. The saloon itself embodies the Maxi philosophy: expansive, fluid, and effortlessly transformable. A versatile lounging area with TV and daybed complements the spacious dining space, creating an atmosphere designed equally for relaxation and conviviality. One of the guest cabins can also be converted into a media lounge or an additional dining area, allowing the interior to evolve seamlessly with each journey and the lifestyle of those on board.

The Swan 80 is not simply a new model, it is a threshold. A yacht that brings the scale, capability and spirit of a maxi yacht into a more agile form, redefining what is possible under 24 metres. She will make her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, and the sailing debut at the Rolex Swan Cup celebrating the 60th anniversary of the yard with the rest of the fleet.
