Feadship launches full-custom superyacht Project 828

Feadship launched Project 828, a highly flexible, custom superyacht featuring elegant RWD interiors and striking Studio De Voogt exterior design.

The design brief by a private client for Feadship’s latest springtime launch focused on creating a highly flexible, multi-use onboard environment that supports active living and relaxation. Project 828’s purposely long bow was designed to optimise the allocation of exterior deck spaces, a decision that pushed the yacht’s volume aft and led the designers to emphasise strong horizontal lines. The interior design incorporates soft, flowing lines to create a cohesive spatial experience throughout all guest and owner spaces designed by RWD.

“From the earliest concept sketches to the very last detail, bringing this project together has been a genuine pleasure,” says David Waite-Wright, Senior Associate Designer at RWD. “Our partnership with Feadship is rooted in experience, expertise and deep trust, a foundation that allows us to refine and evolve each project further with every collaboration.”

The exterior styling cues follow on from Feadship’s forward-looking design philosophies. Through numerous design meetings, the vessel’s layout was optimised to create generous, free-flowing circulation throughout the yacht.

“We refined the language with a very strong vertical bow and an emphasis on the long structural lines of the decks,” says Matt Bacon, Lead Designer at Studio De Voogt. “The mast has a very strong character to balance the volumes of the superstructure.”

“This project reflects an intimately close collaboration between the private client and the unified project team. The client had a precise vision for a unique, full custom Feadship, and we are extremely proud of the result,” says Sales Director Maarten Jansen.
