Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, which takes part from the 12th to 17th of September, will feature Marex Boats with a few models on display: 310 Sun Cruiser, 330 Scandinavia, 360 Cabriolet Cruiser and the world premiere 440 Gourmet Cruiser.
The 310 Sun Cruiser is designed to deliver the ideal comfort and space for families and friends. With its length of 9.46 metres, the 310 SC features a spacious combined cockpit/salon area, a dining table, and several social seating arrangements. For sun lovers, the cockpit has two sliding sunroofs, and when the weather cools, it benefits from having the world's quickest Marex Canopy System. Details include a transom door that leads to a pair of swim platform benches that can also be used as huge storage lockers.
The 330 Scandinavia combines an outstanding performance with new practical solutions. At 10.49 metres, it features two large sitting areas in both the cockpit and the salon. A new, advanced Canopy Solution closes the cockpit in seconds. In addition, a sliding pilot door at the helm aids easy deck access, and the foredeck sunpad can be used both for sunbathing and as an innovative floating mattress. It also has a flip-out seat at the swim platform. Other innovations, for example, optional roof-mounted solar panels, always power the fridge and freezer.
The 360 Cabriolet Cruiser features a timeless and modern design with surprisingly spacious interior spaces. The 10,99-metre boat is famous for its practicality and user-friendliness. The 360’s galley has a flip-up worktop, a freezer, and a large side-by-side fridge as standard equipment. The windscreen door affords quick, safe and easy access to the foredeck.
And finally, the world premiere in Cannes is Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiser. It is a new generation of family boats with contemporary design lines and several innovations. The new flagship will be 13.70 metres long with a maximum beam of 4.27 metres. Marex will have two modifications of this model: 440 Gourmet Cruiser with an enormous U-shaped kitchen layout and 440 Scandinavia Version with second dining in an enclosed salon.
The new flagship was born in collaboration between the Marex in-house design team and Slovenian studio VOM Creations Yacht Design. Naval architecture was provided by Nikl Design and Engineering by Alpha Creations.
“Our new 440 GC is the natural evolution of a Marex range”, comments Espen Aalrud, CEO of Marex. “The exterior of the Marex 440 has a dynamic and modern look, but we wanted to keep our shipyard DNA very carefully”.
“The fundamental idea is to create a family boat focusing on easy living and have the cruise experience of a much larger vessel. The biggest kitchen in its class, beach club next to the water, two bathrooms, and a washer machine are examples of this idea”, - adds Aalrud.
One of the 440 Gourmet Cruiser’s innovations is its kitchen. Marex created a chef’s dream with an enormous U-shaped kitchen layout – the largest in its class. It features an oven/microwave, double sink, induction cooker and a dishwasher. It also has an opening on the countertop to store four beer/ drink cases of 24 boxes each. The solar panels provide enough capacity to keep the 220-litre refrigerator and 100-litre freezer running permanently without shore power.
The social cockpit in 440 Gourmet Cruiser features a U-shaped sofa with a table for up to 8-10 persons. The bar connects the salon and cockpit into one open social area for guests to enjoy. And, of course, this model is equipped with the popular Marex Canopy System, the fastest and easiest way to close the open cockpit deck.
Marex has brought the beach club idea to the family boats. The platform has a large sitting area with integrated soft backs for enjoying the closeness to the sea.
The Marex 440 can be equipped with either sterndrive, IPS or shafts, together with a large generator and a gyroscopic stabiliser. For handy mooring, the 440 has two side doors. This allows to get freedom of movement for the captain and guests.
