Venice Boat Show 2026: A global stage for maritime innovation

The Venice Boat Show 2026 transforms the historic Arsenale into a premier global stage for cutting-edge yachting and marine innovation.

Venice’s historic Arsenale will once again reclaim its status as a premier hub for the international nautical community. The seventh edition of the Venice Boat Show is set to transform this legendary shipyard into a high-tech stage for marine innovation and luxury design. Organized by Vela Spa on behalf of the City of Venice, and supported by the Italian Navy and regional authorities, the event has evolved into one of the most prestigious yachting gatherings in Europe. This year’s edition is further elevated by a worldwide communication strategy led by the ICE – Italian Trade Agency, designed to connect global investors with the pinnacle of maritime craft. Highlighting its international prestige, Skipper ONDECK magazine participates as a member of the Venice Boat Show official international delegation, representing the global yachting press and professional community at this elite event.

An Unrivaled Fleet in the Venetian Lagoon

The 2026 exhibition features an expansive display of over 300 vessels, with 240 of them moored along 1,100 meters of docks in the Darsena Grande. This setup allows enthusiasts to experience the latest developments in yachting firsthand, from massive superyachts to elegant sailing vessels. Highlights include the Numarine 30XP diesel-electric explorer and the sporty AB80 and AB 95 by Next Yacht Group. The show will also host several highly anticipated debuts, such as the Say Carbon 32 and the Greenline 42. Meanwhile, the sailing sector remains a cornerstone of the event, headlined by the Jeanneau 65 and the world premiere of the Meraki 40.

Charting a Course Toward Sustainability

Environmental stewardship remains a defining characteristic of the show, which operates under the ISO 20121:2024 certification for sustainable event management. The Arsenale’s P2 dock has been specifically designated as a showcase for “green” boating, featuring hydrogen technology, hybrid engines, and electric propulsion. Standout eco-innovations include the Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre and the CyberCat, a specialized electric vessel built for waste collection in waterways. Beyond hardware, the event serves as a forum for ecological initiatives like the Seabin Project, emphasizing the industry’s commitment to cleaning the oceans and reducing the carbon footprint of modern navigation.

Merging Heritage with Modern Leisure

While the show looks toward the future, it remains deeply rooted in craftsmanship through the Wood Village. This dedicated area celebrates the timeless art of Venetian shipbuilding, where master artisans demonstrate traditional wood-working and restoration techniques. Complementing this historical focus is a vibrant look at modern sea life, featuring the latest “water toys” such as Fliteboards and electric hydrofoils. With an expected turnout of over 30,000 visitors, the Venice Boat Show 2026 offers a comprehensive program of sea trials, technical workshops, and professional networking, solidifying its place as an essential destination on the global nautical calendar.
