SACS enters the luxury yacht segment with the launch of Hyper 5S, debuting at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
For 30 years, we have been developing products that make boating exciting. We have continuously redefined the standards for design, performance, and comfort in each of our models. We are now taking our vision of the sea to a more evolved, powerful, architectural, and freer dimension. We have built iconic boats for discerning boat owners: from the Strider line of maxi-RIBs to the revolutionary Rebel models. Today we are entering the luxury yacht segment: with the SACS Hyper 5S, we are taking another leap forward. We are not just adding the first model in a new range, we are giving shape to a new boat concept.
Hyper 5S has been created for those who demand everything from the sea: speed, control, safety, comfort, and configuration flexibility. It is not a RIB. It is not just a yacht. It is a new project, just as Strider and Rebel were in their respective segments, in which SACS’s performance DNA evolves into its most fully realised form: beautiful lines, meticulous design, functionality, and ease of use that makes every moment on board feel natural and intuitive. From the world of maxi-RIBs, it inherits the direct relation with the sea, the sense of control, and the safety of a boat close to the water and ready to experience. Drawing from SACS’s most recent history, in particular the Rebel line, it embodies a recognisable stylistic heritage, evolving it into a more elegant, refined, and architectural form, without losing the perimeter protection, which remains part of its identity.
A boat designed in response to changing usage patterns among the most discerning boat owners, who enjoy the sea in a different way: an experience able to welcome, engage, unite, and evolve. SACS Hyper 5S meets this new vision through a spacious, continuous deck, a safe walkaround, opening side terraces, convertible sunbathing areas, and configurable stern layouts. Spaces designed to enjoy the boat with greater freedom, shifting seamlessly from sailing to relaxation, from privacy to socialising, always in direct contact with the sea. The deck thus becomes a lounge suspended above the sea: elegant and unique, designed with people in mind and to enhance the pleasure of enjoying every moment on board.
As the name suggests, SACS Hyper 5S embodies a constant drive to transcend expectations, categories, and the limitations typically associated with a boat of this size. It is our answer for those who are not satisfied with just sailing. For those who want to take control of the experience. Designed by Christian Grande, Hyper 5S interprets SACS’s most recognisable stylistic elements and evolves them into a more distinct, architectural, and forward-looking formal language. The lines are elegant, sharp, and decisive. Its sportiness is evident but never flaunted. The result is a boat with a strong personality, combining striking presence, functionality, and refined power.
We have developed a hull design capable of ensuring fast, precise, and exhilarating sailing, without sacrificing the comfort of a smooth ride over the waves. The real design challenge was to integrate four different powertrain options, each designed to meet a specific boating need: from the most extreme and sporty to the most comfortable and cruise-oriented, all the way to the outboard configuration intended specifically for overseas markets. Each configuration has been optimised down to the smallest detail in the engine room, systems, and technical distribution:
2x 850 HP MAN with Surface Drives
The sportiest configuration, designed to bring out the Hyper 5S’s fast-paced spirit, with its characteristic rooster tail highlighting every acceleration.
4x Mercury V12 Verado 600 HP or 4x Mercury V10 Verado 425 HP
Two outboard solutions with a muscular and powerful look, designed for those seeking maximum top speed, a striking visual impact, and great ease of use.
3x Volvo Penta 480 HP stern drive
The perfect balance between performance, efficiency, quiet operation, comfort, and manoeuvrability.
2x Volvo Penta 600 HP IPS 800
The configuration designed to maximise efficiency, quiet operation, and manoeuvrability, without compromise.
Christian Grande’s innovation continues on the deck features: the boat provides freedom of movement in complete safety on the main deck, even at the bow, thanks to a spacious walkaround. The open spaces transform into a veritable terrace overlooking the sea, with an outdoor area of 25 square metres, which expands to 32 square metres with the side terraces open. At the bow, the sunbathing area and chaise longue, now a signature stylistic feature of SACS, already adopted on the Rebel line, provide a special oasis while at anchor and a thrilling experience while sailing. Under a large hardtop, a majestic and ergonomic control panel with the latest electronic instruments and home automation systems; amidships there is a spacious wet bar overlooking the living area with a U-shaped sofa and, toward the stern, there are two possible configurations: spacious sun bed with a garage for the tender, or a more modern and dynamic solution, with two independent, movable sun beds, that can be used separately or as a single large space.
SACS Hyper 5S can be configured as an open or closed version. In the closed configuration, the area beneath the hardtop is protected by side windows, designed to provide guests with greater shelter during long cruises or when outdoor temperatures are uncomfortable. Below deck, the SACS Hyper 5S impresses with its spaciousness and brightness. At the bow, the large owner’s cabin is enhanced by majestic panoramic windows, designed to amplify the natural light and the view of the sea; amidships, a spacious bathroom with a generously sized separate shower; at the stern, a multifunctional space allows the sofa to be converted into a large bed as needed, providing additional flexibility on board. With the SACS Hyper 5S, a new challenge begins: to become a leading player in the construction of luxury yachts that combine performance, design, comfort, and emotional appeal. The official debut will take place during the main autumn boat shows, starting with the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
