Date Change! 6th Hydra Conference


The Fraternity of the Athenian Hydriots (established in 1890, announces that the 6th Hydra Shipping Conference will take place on Saturday, the 3rd of October 2015, at the Historic Archives - Museum of Hydra.

The title of the conference this year is: “Piraeus and the Greek Crisis”.

Featuring keynote presentations and interactive panel discussions, this year’s conference will focus on the following topics for discussion: Can Piraeus maintain its world status as a major Shipping hub? What are the pros and cons for Shipping companies moving out of Greece to other capitals offering tax free status? How will the maritime servicing industry cope? (i.e. Banking, Insurance, Legal, Chartering/S+P Brokerage, Crewing, etc.) What effect will the withdrawal of International Banks from Piraeus have?
