The fifth unit of the Mangusta GranSport 54 hit the water at Overmarine’s shipyard in Pisa on Wednesday, 24th June. Representing the ultimate expression of the brand’s fast displacement line, this model overcomes traditional constraints and trade-offs, delivering impressive performances and unparalleled comfort even during long ocean
crossings.
With three Mangusta 54 already cruising the American seas, the launch of this fifth unit underscores the success of a model that impeccably interprets and meets the specific needs of the American market: “The need for speed philosophy remains the defining hallmark of the Americas, where performance, design, and innovation are absolute
prerequisites”, states Mangusta Americas President, Stefano Arlunno.
The launching ceremony in Pisa was held in the presence of the Owner and his family, Marine Max brokerage house’s and Nicolai Yacht Consulting’s teams, and Overmarine’s personnel. The event was yet another precious occasion to pay tribute to the craftsmanship, technical skills, and design expertise that have been the cornerstones of Mangusta’s excellence for forty years.
With its slender silhouette, powerful propulsion, remarkable cruising speed, and generous, optimised volumes, the Mangusta GranSport 54 stems from the effective synergy between Overmarine Group’s Engineering Department, engineer Ausonio, and designer Alberto Mancini. The brand’s Pisa shipyard was able to turn ingenious design and technical solutions into a vessel that blends together the strong personality of a sporty yacht with the sophistication of Mediterranean lifestyle.
Sleek lines, a beautifully sculpted stern, air vents fully integrated in the bulwarks, and a raked windscreen connected with the roll-bar create a truly unmistakable profile. At the same time, at the heart of the Mangusta GranSport 54 lies the pleasure of enjoying outdoor life always maintaining the closest contact with the sea. Interior and exterior spaces flow smoothly into each other, creating a seamless continuity of both design language and functionality. Wide glazed surfaces let natural light flood the interiors, and exquisitely custom-made details and generous volumes make this yacht ideal to spend hours of blissful quiet at anchor or enjoy long-range cruising.
The Mangusta GranSport 54 can boast a range of up to 4,200 nautical miles at 12 knots, while four Rolls Royce 2,600 HP MTU engines coupled with four propellers will allow her to reach a maximum speed of 29 knots.
