ST550 Deep Horizon, the latest expression of Atelier Invictus, makes its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.
The success of the Invictus ST550 and TT550 flagships has further strengthened the brand’s positioning within the international premium yachting segment. For Rosario Alcaro, CEO of Aschenez Group, which also includes the Capoforte and Marcopolo brands, this achievement marks the beginning of a new phase in the evolution of the brand’s offering, driven by Atelier Invictus’ ability to develop increasingly sophisticated and distinctive customisation solutions. This evolution has resulted in the creation of Invictus ST550 Deep Horizon, an exclusive new interpretation developed by Atelier Invictus, which will be unveiled for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026. The project reinterprets the ST550 model through a new vision centred on materials, light and the relationship with the sea, further expanding customisation opportunities through tailor-made aesthetic and functional solutions.
Α design exploration of materials, light and aesthetic identity
For the development of the concept, Atelier Invictus collaborated with designer Fabio Rotella, undertaking a design research process focused on materials, finishes and the aesthetic identity of the new edition. The collaboration represents the evolution of a research path launched with the TT460 Shell Edition and stems from the desire to combine a contemporary design approach with Atelier Invictus’ ability to develop dedicated materials, exclusive colour palettes, artisanal finishes and bespoke details.
Fabio Rotella describes the philosophy behind the project: “I have always considered the yacht as one of the most authentic ways to experience the relationship with nature. I do not see it as a simple extension of living spaces, but as a living organism capable of interacting with water, wind and light. This vision has guided a design research process focused on an essential form of luxury, one that enhances materials, light and the relationship with the sea.”
This vision translates into the concept of “quiet luxury”: an essential interpretation of luxury that eliminates excess to highlight proportions, materials and the quality of space. For Fabio Rotella, the onboard experience engages all the senses: sight through natural colours and balanced palettes, touch through authentic surfaces and refined materials, creating a continuous dialogue between design, nature and wellbeing. At the heart of this creative philosophy is Atelier Invictus, the shipyard’s design laboratory where design, material research, craftsmanship and technical expertise come together to transform each concept into a unique product, expressing Invictus’ identity and design culture. “Atelier Invictus is organised into specialist areas dedicated both to aesthetic customisation and technical solutions,” explains Paolo Avellone, Head of Atelier Invictus. “Professionals with experience in fashion and industrial design collaborate with our team to develop increasingly innovative solutions. With the ST550 Deep Horizon, we wanted to offer a new interpretation of one of our most representative models: a project that preserves Invictus’ distinctive character while enhancing it with refined materials, dedicated finishes and an even higher level of customisation.”
Α sensory experience of materials, light and the sea
ST550 Deep Horizon stems from a design exploration centred on materials and inspired by the horizon line, interpreting the sea not simply as a setting, but as a defining element of the onboard experience. “The project is the result of a research process focused on simplicity, elegance and authenticity, expressed through natural materials, refined surfaces and a contemporary aesthetic language,” explains Fabio Rotella. Natural wood species, tactile surfaces and exclusive fabrics developed specifically for this interpretation define refined and timeless interiors, where light becomes a key design element: enhancing textures and materials, expanding the perception of space and accompanying the different moments of the day. The bathrooms become true architectural features characterised by precious materials: Silk Georgette in the guest bathroom and Portoro Gold in the master bathroom express Atelier Invictus’ continuous research into sophisticated surfaces and craftsmanship. The same philosophy extends to the exterior areas, conceived as a natural continuation of the interiors. High-performance technical fabrics, developed exclusively for this project and enriched with original patterns, create a seamless connection between interior and exterior, reinforcing the yacht’s distinctive identity.
Measuring 16.87 metres in length with a 5.04-metre beam, the Invictus ST550, whose “S” refers to the concept of “Space”, embodies the shipyard’s philosophy through generous volumes, seamless connections between indoor and outdoor areas and a strong relationship with the sea, while preserving the brand’s distinctive features, including its signature semi-reverse bow.
Τhe signature of Atelier Invictus
The research into bespoke materials, finishes and components is one of the defining elements of Atelier Invictus’ design philosophy. “The collaboration with Fabio Rotella represented an important inspiration in developing new solutions capable of enhancing the identity of this new edition. The role of Atelier Invictus was to translate this research into tangible design elements, selecting materials, finishes and components that fully reflect the shipyard’s vision,” explains Paolo Avellone.
In today’s yachting industry, the ability to create truly distinctive configurations has become an increasingly important value. For this reason, Invictus has invested in the development of dedicated materials, fabrics and onboard solutions, working closely with specialised partners to create elements specifically conceived for the brand. While preserving key features of the Invictus design language, such as the signature buckles on the backrests, fabrics and leathers have been developed with dedicated configurations and enriched by the discreet presence of the Invictus logo. The same attention extends to the finest interior details: alongside the selection of natural stones, the bathrooms feature customised fittings, including anthracite finishes for the ST550 Deep Horizon. Particular attention has also been devoted to the lighting design, developed to enhance the transition between spaces and create soft, welcoming atmospheres throughout the interiors, including the lower-deck areas. “The hull and deck colours were also defined through a meticulous aesthetic research process,” adds Paolo Avellone.“For ST550 Deep Horizon, we selected a cool grey hull contrasting with a pearlescent white deck.”
World Premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026
Invictus ST550 Deep Horizon will make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 (8–13 September 2026), at the Invictus Yacht stand in the Vieux Port, PAN 224-015. Alongside the ST550 Deep Horizon, the shipyard will showcase four additional models from the range: Invictus TT550, TT460, Invictus TT420 and Invictus GT320. The model will subsequently be exhibited at the Genoa International Boat Show 2026 (1–6 October 2026), at the Invictus Yacht stand (Bachina B, stand A22).
With ST550 Deep Horizon, Invictus further strengthens the role of Atelier Invictus as a creative hub where design research, craftsmanship and technical expertise converge to develop unique yacht experiences. This new edition embodies the shipyard’s vision: creating a yacht that combines distinctive identity, timeless elegance and extensive personalisation possibilities, transforming every moment on board into a new way of experiencing the sea.
