A fleet of nine yachts will participate at the first YYachts Cup ever. The event is part of the Superyacht Cup Richard Mille from 24 to 27 June in Mallorca.
The Superyacht Cup Richard Mille is Europe’s longest running superyacht regatta. This year it celebrates its 30th anniversary from 24 to 27 June at the prestigous and brand new Club de Mar in Palma de Mallorca. 24 yachts have confirmed their participation, with a waiting list open.
A key element of this year’s Superyacht Cup Richard Mille will be the integrated YYachts Cup. The 30th edition of the regatta and YYachts’ 10-year anniversary provide the perfect occasion for this special highlight. The German shipyard will field a fleet of nine yachts and will have its own start within the Superyacht Cup. For the YYachts Cup, five Y7s, three Y8s, and one Y9 have already registered. This means that almost the entire YYachts range will be represented in Palma from 24–27 June.
YYachts founder Michael Schmidt sailed already twice at the Superyacht Cup Richard Mille on two different Y8s and likes to look back. “It was a truly special experience,” Schmidt reflects. “What makes this event stand out is not just the sailing, but the unique atmosphere it creates.
