Santasevera 42: Sporty elegance, designed for life on the water

The Santasevera 42 brings the brand’s sporty design language to a compact format, offering all-day comfort through generous, versatile open spaces.

The second model in the range after the Santasevera 52, the 42 brings the brand’s design language into a more compact format, maintaining a strong sporty character without compromising the possibility of spending a full day on board in complete comfort, thanks to its generous open spaces. Whether used as a weekender, dayboat or chase boat, the Santasevera 42 naturally adapts to different ways of enjoying life on the water. The project was designed by Francesco Guida, founder of Santasevera, who focused on the relationship between hull form, spatial organisation and the way the boat is experienced. Clean, contemporary lines, balanced proportions and flowing surfaces define an elegant and dynamic boat.

The wide, rounded bow is one of the Santasevera 42’s most distinctive features and contributes to the perception of a yacht with larger dimensions. The deep-V hull completes the design, with the aim of ensuring balanced handling even in rougher sea conditions. “Clean, flowing lines define a yacht that conveys a sense of dynamism even when at rest. Every mile is covered naturally, every movement is precise: smooth and safe navigation in all conditions. The spaces naturally adapt to the different moments of life on board, following each person’s own way of experiencing the sea,” says Francesco Guida.

The Santasevera 42 is available in two configurations, Sport and HT. In the Sport version, the windscreen and large side windows, supported by inclined pillars with a distinctive geometric design, surround the helm station and effectively protect the cockpit, while maintaining a strong sense of openness towards the outside. The HT version introduces a hard top and is designed for a more Mediterranean use.

The forward position of the helm station is one of the design choices that determines the layout of the Santasevera 42. In addition to providing the helmsman with optimal visibility, it frees up space to the benefit of the centre of life on board: the cockpit. The helmsman sits on a large, adjustable leather seat that provides comfort and support even during longer passages. The console is ergonomic, with a large central display and two angled panels housing the control buttons.

Next to the helm station is the living area, where guests find a large C-shaped sofa with a table featuring an extendable top and, on the opposite side, the galley unit with two refrigerators, storage lockers, a sink and cooktop. The layout naturally leads aft, where two large chaise longues introduce the area dedicated to sunbathing and relaxation and connect with the sunpad positioned at the aft end of the deck. Storage compartments are integrated beneath these three elements.

The sequence of spaces concludes with the swim platform, which creates a direct connection between the cockpit and the sea. The continuity of the spaces is not limited to the cockpit. The Santasevera 42 features a walkaround deck: the two side passages connect the central area with the bow and its sunpad, allowing guests to move freely around the deck. The distinctive shape of the bow also plays an important role below deck. Its wide, rounded section makes it possible to maximise the available volume for the owner’s cabin, which is fitted with a king-size bed and storage spaces along the hull sides.

The bathroom, with a separate shower compartment, is located immediately to the left of the three steps leading below deck, while a small sofa is positioned to the right. The control panel is integrated into the bulkhead and arranged around a sketch of the Santasevera 42: a clear layout that, through illuminated indicators, allows the main onboard systems to be viewed immediately and operated intuitively. Long hull-side windows bring natural light into the interior and strengthen the visual relationship with the sea. The materials and attention to detail also characterise the interior below deck. Wood, available in a range of finishes, leather and Corian give the space a warm, contemporary character, while handles, knobs, switches and custom-designed storage compartments with an original and refined design complement everyday use.

Recessed LED strips in the ceiling, spotlights and indirect light sources beneath and between the furniture create different levels of illumination and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. The Santasevera 42 is available with three propulsion solutions: sterndrive, outboard and Volvo Penta IPS. The standard engine configuration features twin Volvo Penta D6 engines rated at 380 hp each, allowing the boat to reach a maximum speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots.
