Barracuda Yacht Design unveils 38m Kingship KS125 multihull concept

The 500 GT Kingship KS125 is a 38-meter multihull explorer concept developed by Barracuda Yacht Design, offering transatlantic range and expansive luxury.

The Kingship KS125 is a new design concept developed by the Spanish studio Barracuda Yacht Design in the category of long-range multihull explorer yachts. Featuring a total length of 38.10 meters (with a hull and waterline length of 37.50 meters) and a maximum beam of 14.70 meters, this catamaran configuration offers expansive living and entertaining spaces designed to rival the volume of substantially larger monohull vessels. Grossing 500 GT, the yacht is designed to meet RINA and DNV certification standards.

In terms of technical specifications and performance, the vessel is powered by twin engines ranging from 1,600 to 2,000 Hp, delivering a cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots and a maximum speed of 16 to 18 knots. With a fuel capacity of 48,000 liters, the explorer possesses a transatlantic range of up to 4,000 nautical miles.

Tankage also includes 12,840 liters of fresh water, 5,000 liters of grey water, and 2,000 liters of black water. The yacht’s lightship displacement stands at 195.00 metric tons, increasing to 250.00 metric tons at full load, while the draft ranges from a hull depth of 1.80 meters to a maximum of 2.00 meters.

The onboard layout accommodates up to 12 passengers and a crew of 10, for whom dedicated quarters are provided. Private accommodations feature a full master apartment complete with an office suite, alongside four large guest staterooms, each equipped with its own private balcony.

Ample deck and storage areas are engineered to carry a comprehensive inventory of water toys, including a 9-meter and a 7.5-meter tender, multiple personal watercraft, and a mini-submarine. Guest amenities focus heavily on leisure and wellness, incorporating three separate bar areas, a TV lounge, a family room, sauna and massage rooms, and a main deck gymnasium. The exterior layout is characterized by extensive fore and aft-deck spaces dedicated to sunbathing and jacuzzi installations.
