AB Yachts presents the third AB 130 unit

A tailor-made project combining the highest performance of the AB Yachts DNA with absolute comfort, featuring spaces designed for family life, conviviality and a direct connection with the sea.

AB Yachts, a Next Yacht Group brand, presents the third unit of the 39.65-metre AB 130, interpreting the brand’s high-performance DNA through a highly customized project developed around the requirements of an experienced yacht owner. With a top speed of 41 knots, this new unit combines performance with a layout conceived to prioritize life on board, conviviality and spatial flexibility. The configuration blends the sporty character of AB Yachts with generous spaces, family-oriented solutions and particular attention to the comfort of guests and crew.
The project was developed entirely by the shipyard, which oversaw both exterior and interior design, translating the owner’s requirements into numerous custom solutions.

The approximately 63-sqm main saloon brings the living and dining areas together in one large open space, enhancing visual continuity and freedom of movement. The aft area has likewise been conceived as a multifunctional space for shared enjoyment: a dining table with seating and sofa, sunpads, an outdoor dining area and jacuzzi are designed for moments of absolute relaxation. The large 30-sqm bathing platform can be extended by means of two fold-down wings of approximately 6 sqm each, creating an even more expansive and impressive waterside area. The project also incorporates a twin tender garage and numerous solutions for stowing and handling water toys, creating a true sea-level terrace and endless possibilities for use while at anchor.

The lower deck is organized around three principles: privacy, comfort and the ability to adapt the spaces to the different needs of life on board. The master cabin, complete with dressing area, measures approximately 36 sqm and has been designed to the owner’s specifications: the addition of an extra bed/sofa provides additional space that can also be separated if required. The master bathroom features two separate his-and-hers washbasins. The lower-deck layout also includes two VIP cabins and a twin guest cabin, each with its own en suite bathroom.

One of the project’s most distinctive features is the approximately 12-sqm playroom, created by converting an additional guest cabin into a multifunctional space primarily intended as a cinema room. The double-height volume and glazed overhead panel allow natural light to filter softly into the space, while a blackout blind can make it completely dark during screenings. The corners are protected with soft leather upholstery, reflecting the particular attention devoted to guest safety on board. The same area can easily be repurposed over time, transforming into a gym with an exercise bike or treadmill, or alternatively into a study combined with a gym. The galley and dinette have been finished with the same materials used in the guest areas, highlighting the quality of life the owner deliberately sought to provide for the crew as well. The galley has been conceived as a possible extension of the VIP area, while the pantry in the main saloon echoes the same high-quality furnishings, creating seamless continuity between the spaces.

With approximately 58 sqm of open deck space, the sundeck has been designed as a true outdoor living deck, bringing together four different functions within one environment. Forward, the yacht features a fully equipped outdoor helm station, developed through a bespoke design project to deliver a more functional and engaging driving experience. Complementing this area are an alfresco dining space with a sofa and table accommodating up to 10 guests, a bar unit for aperitifs with panoramic views, and a generous sunbathing area. Four distinct yet perfectly integrated functions are thus brought together: helm station, dining, bar area and sunbathing area. This successful layout – skillfully developed together with the owner – has also become a benchmark for the next AB 130 unit currently under construction and scheduled for delivery at the beginning of the 2027 season.

The selection of materials expresses the tailor-made character of the project through a combination of tactile surfaces, luminous finishes and bespoke details. The interiors feature Alcantara, selected for its premium technical qualities and ease of maintenance, alongside metallic accents, pearl-lacquered storage compartments, and a bespoke one-off table topped with elegant travertine marble. Columns clad in backlit onyx become both architectural and luminous features, integrated into a lighting scheme that guides the passage along the corridor and through the main spaces. The color palette develops around shades of beige, paired with the light brown of the parquet flooring and
customized lacquered finishes. Travertine and onyx characterize the main spaces, while in the bathrooms pearlescent lacquered paneling is paired with Emperador marble. The headboards have likewise been designed as highly customized features: renowned brand Marine Leather
created distinctive three-dimensional stitching, interpreting the owner’s requests with a clear reference to the world of luxury.

AB 130 is powered by three MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines rated at 2,600 hp each, delivering a total output of 7,800 hp, coupled with two MJP steerable waterjets and one MJP central booster. This configuration enables a top speed of 41 knots, with high maneuverability and control. The hull and superstructure are built in composite, while the Gyro Stabilizer system operates both at zero speed and underway. Range is approximately 450 nautical miles at cruising speed. The yacht is also prepared for the installation of SCR systems, supporting more sustainable cruising. With this third unit, AB 130 expresses the sporty character of the brand through a project built around its owner’s way of experiencing the sea: performance remains central, while becoming part of a broader experience in which speed, comfort, shared spaces and opportunities for customization coexist without compromise.
