Porto Montenegro TYHA Platinum Marina award

Porto Montenegro, a multiple award winning luxury yacht homeport and marina villagebased in Tivat in the heart of the UNESCO protected Boka Bay, is delighted to receive the TYHA Platinum Marina award.

The prestigious award has been given to Porto Montenegrofor its 460-yacht marina capacity, waterfront residences, retail village, 5-star hotel, restaur-ants and nearby airport but also for our unparalleled levels of customer service.Launched last year by TYHA and MIA, joint operators of the Gold Anchor award scheme,the new Platinum accreditation has been designed to recognise the world’s finest supery-acht marinas.

Porto Montenegro has become the world’s first and only marina to dateto receive the Platinum award.

TYHA’s General Manager Jon White commented: “Our assessor conducted an exhaust-ive procedure to ensure that all of the scheme’s criteria were met before the report was re-viewed by the standards panels of both The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) and theMarina Industries Association (MIA)”.Gold Anchor Assessor Tony Dye added: “The level of refinement at Porto Montenegroincluded on jetty air-conditioned waste facilities to prevent odours, on-site fire brigadeteam, state-of-the-art fuel service and high levels of environmental management.

The con-cierge team are active 24-hours and the crew facility provisions exceeded expectations,especially with regard to leisure time.”Upon  receiving  the  award,Porto  Montenegro’s  Marina  Director,  Tony  Browne,  re-marked: “When launching Porto Montenegro back in 2010, we had a bold vision to be-come the world’s leading superyacht marina. In re-writing the rulebook for product and ser-vice standards we have sought inspiration both from within and without our own industry toprove that a new-build marina in the Adriatic can match and indeed better what is on offerin the western Med.”
