A masterpiece created by Montegrappa and crafted with exquisite detail, this ultra-limited edition pen embodies the spirit of Pericles’ historical phrase, “ΜΕΓΑ ΤΟ ΤΗΣ ΘΑΛΑΣΣΗΣ ΚΡΑΤΟΣ” which accentuates how great the power of the country that controls the sea is.
Each pen is a work of art, meticulously fashioned from 925 sterling silver and rare celluloid. The design pays homage to Greece’s dominance in global maritime trade, symbolizing the expansive reach of its commercial fleet across the seven seas. The collection comprises only 20 numbered pieces, making it a highly coveted treasure for collectors and connoisseurs alike. Conceived under the expertise of Montegrappa’s renowned ATELIER, this creation reflects the ingenuity of Italian craftsmanship and the vision of Head Designer, William Zanotta.
With design references to the legacy of Greek shipping, the pen bears the Greek map engraved on the lid, while the body depicts a ship embarking on a transatlantic journey. A central element that stands out is the trident-shaped clip, a clear reference to the symbol of Poseidon, the Olympian god of the sea.
The Montegrappa “Tribute to Greek Fleet” is produced in Fountain Pens and Rollerballs, all accompanied by luxurious oak cases. The Fountain Pens come with an extra-large custom 18K nib decorated with the symbols of Greek shipping and a 50ml bottle of blue ink with a custom decorated metal cap.
