Two weeks until the Cannes Yachting Festival opens

In two weeks, the Vieux Port and Port Canto will host the 2025 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival. From 9 to 14 September, professionals and enthusiasts will be able to see more than 710 boats launched from the most prestigious French and international shipyards.

Starting Tuesday 9 September at 10 a.m., the exhibition will open its doors for six exceptional days, offering a unique panorama of the boating industry: sailing boats, motor yachts, innovative equipment and premium services. This new edition promises a comprehensive experience, bringing together the excellence, innovation and know-how of the sector in one place.

Two weeks until the Cannes Yachting Festival opens

With two weeks to go until the Festival opens, we can’t wait to see our visitors and exhibitors. The Festival build started on 11 August and is progressing well: pontoons and tents are being set up to accommodate the boats and stands, thanks to the valuable support of our partners and service providers.

Sylvie Ernoult, the Festival Director, confirms. She continues: “As every year, the Cannes Yachting Festival opens the season with a particularly remarkable offering. More than 710 boats, including 150 world premieres, and around 670 exhibitors will be on display. Visitors will be able to discover the excellence of the boating industry, among renowned shipyards and equipment manufacturers, but also new players unveiling their creations.

As in previous years, the exhibition will extend from the Vieux Port to Port Canto, offering a complete panorama of the boating industry. For several years now, the sectorisation has been designed to optimise the visitor experience and highlight the specific features of each category of boat and its equipment. This visitor experience has been extended and enhanced.

At the Vieux Port, visitors will be able to admire around 360 new motor yachts ranging from 12 to 45 metres, including monohull, multihull, rigid and semi-rigid hull designs.

This port will also host all the equipment manufacturers and service companies linked to this dynamic sector. Along the quays, visitors can enjoy discovering a Tenders area, a Motoristes area, the “Power Cat Village” with 24 catamarans located at Quai Max Laubeuf and the Village des Equipements which occupies almost the entire Pantiero.

At Port Canto, the world of sailing will take its place with 125 new sailing vessels, including monohulls and multihulls, with an average length of 17 metres. Visitors will also discover a dedicated area for water toys, as well as the Power Boat Marina, which will bring together 180 boats under 13 metres.

This site will accommodate the brokerage sector, presenting a selection of 45 pre-owned yachts from 25 metres up to 55 metres. This organisation allows greater clarity in the presentation of offerings, a better visitor experience and a clear positioning for each exhibitor. It is possible to explore the entire Port Canto seamlessly.

INNOVATION STANDS OUT

For the second consecutive year, the “Innovation Route” will highlight the eco-efficient and ingenious advances developed by shipyards and equipment manufacturers.

This route, clearly identified by dedicated signage, will allow visitors to easily find the most innovative solutions and thus better promote the players who are shaping more attractive and sustainable sailing, without compromising on performance or pleasure. For the 2025 edition, 40 boats, services or equipment were selected by a jury composed of influential personalities from the nautical world.

The four projects recognised by the expert jury to be the most outstanding will be awarded the Innovation Route Awards. The awards will cover four categories: enhanced navigation experience, sustainable technologies, propulsion systems/alternative energies, and products/processes with low environmental impact. The winners will be announced when the show opens on Tuesday 9 September 2025. A Special Jury Prize will also be awarded for a bold project.
