Just delivered and already nominated for three awards: YYachts are delighted to announce that Y9 “Bella” has been listed as a finalist in the BOAT International Design and Innovation Awards.
She is already among the top 3 worldwide in the categories:
Best Naval Architecture
The Y9 is a really fast yacht. On the passage from Greifswald to Cannes, speeds of 26 knots were reached. The trip took only eleven days, up to 240 nautical miles were mastered in 24 hours.
Best Interior Design
Norm Architects from Copenhagen and Design Unlimited from Lymington combined their architectural and yachting experience and created a Scandinavian elegant look for the Y9 that follows the principle of “soft minimalism”.
Outstanding Exterior
The Y9 shows sporty lines and a balanced combination of speed, reliability and comfort. She is ideal for an owner seeking a world cruising boat that will be fast in the fun regattas that have ascended in the last decade.
BOAT International, one of the most important superyacht magazines, has assembled an extremely expert jury for the awards. Luca Giammattei, the project manager for the Y9, is already touched: “A nice confirmation of our work. I am happy for the team!” The exterior of the almost 30-metre-long “Bella” was designed by Bill Tripp while the interior was developed by the interior design team, lead by Francesca Modica, in cooperation with Norm Architects and Design Unlimited.
The awards will be presented at the beginning of February at the BOAT International Design Festival in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Stay tuned!
