Beneteau FIRST Cup has taken place for the first time in Greece with great success, as part of the legendary Sailing Race of Hydra that is being organized by the Yacht Club of Greece. In view of the celebrations of the 140 years of the founding of Beneteau, the Yacht Club of Greece had the pleasure to offer a unique experience to Beneteau FIRST lovers with the support of Atalanta Marine.
The event was of great significance given that it was part of the global celebrations of the 140 of the founding of Beneteau, the oldest and one of the most established shipyards in the world.
Overall winner of the Beneteau FIRST Cup, and first in the category FIRST ORC Sport was the boat ISIDOROS – FIRST 28, second Overall winner and second boat in the category FIRST ORC Sport was SALTY – FIRST 35 and third Overall winner and first boat in the category FIRST ORC Performance was ANAX – VICTORIA – FIRST 34.7 !
The world known yacht designer of Beneteau FIRST Lorentzo Argento, who participated in the race with his own Beneteau First 36 ISERA, spoke about the uniqueness of the organization and the thrill he felt by being part of it. “I couldn’t’ be happier” he stated.
The race turned out to be a big feast for all participants and concluded with a party organized by Atalanta Amarine on Sunday night at the famous bar Pirate.
Atalanta Marine, being devoted to offer the outmost in sailing and the yachting industry, has supported part of a race organized by the Yacht Club of Greece, the most historical club in the Eastern Mediterranean, to create a remarkable sailing experience for Beneteau and the FIRST line.
