Last June 26, Informa Markets announced the postponement of the Monaco Yacht Show for September 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has caused unprecedented health, social and economic challenges around the world.
The Show postponement was a delicate and wise decision supported by the government of Monaco and the international superyachting community. The current evolution of the pandemic bitterly confirms our decision.
Today is September 23, 2020. It is 10am. The whole yachting family should have landed on the docks of Port Hercule to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Monaco Yacht Show in the hectic vibe of the summer’s end.
In three decades, this is the first time that the Principality of Monaco does not add the “MYS blue” to its heraldic red and white colours. But good habits shouldn’t be lost. Since last July, we have been carrying out an in-depth research initiative on the Monaco Yacht Show involving a large panel of leading industry’s decision-makers, yacht owners, superyacht builders and broker agencies, designers, nautical suppliers or luxury manufactures on exhibit at the show. The conclusions of this research will draw the shape of the 2021 MYS and we hope more than fulfill the expectations of the participants and the objectives of exhibitors.
The first results discern an (even more!) appealing show for next year. Informa Markets and the Monaco Yacht Show organisers will present the 2021 edition in the coming weeks. On September 22, 2021, the superyachting community will gather together on port Hercule for the official 30th Monaco Yacht Show. Meanwhile, we shall all continue to respect the sanitary measures, remain vigilant for ourselves, our family and professional contacts and remain united. We will be able to come out of this ordeal altogether… Hand in hand.
