Saffier Yachts has officially announced the launch of the new Saffier SE 28 Leopard, revealing the first sailing images of its latest high-performance daysailer. The new model marks a significant evolution for the Dutch builder, combining advanced design, enhanced sailing performance, and unprecedented levels of customization.
Performance Meets Personalization
At the heart of the SE 28 Leopard lies a completely new hull design, engineered to deliver faster, more responsive sailing than its predecessors. Designed for sailors who value both performance and comfort, the yacht offers seamless adaptability, allowing owners to tailor the boat precisely to their sailing style and preferences.
Customization stands out as a defining feature of the SE 28 Leopard. Owners can choose between a tiller or twin steering wheels, while the foredeck can be configured with a solar panel, hatch, or Esthec finishing. Propulsion options include both electric and diesel engines, reflecting Saffier’s commitment to flexibility and sustainability. The yacht also allows for an easy transition between relaxed cruising and more performance-driven sailing, shifting from a comfort setup with a self-tacking jib and Code Zero to a racing configuration featuring a full high-aspect jib and a downwind gennaker. Additional options such as hull colors, interior fabrics, keel depth, heating for colder climates, or a dedicated Bimini for warmer regions further underline the boat’s bespoke character.
With this extensive range of choices, the Saffier SE 28 Leopard positions itself as one of the most customizable daysailers currently available on the market.
Innovation through trusted partnerships
The development of the new model was supported by a carefully selected group of industry-leading partners. Among them are North Sails and Seldén Mast, the latter having collaborated with Saffier Yachts for more than two decades. For the SE 28 Leopard, Seldén Mast contributed several tailor-made components developed specifically for the model. A standout innovation is the Seldén Rewind winch, a revolutionary system designed for exceptional ease of use, significantly enhancing handling and overall sailing comfort.
The Saffier SE 28 Leopard will make its public debut at boot Düsseldorf 2026, taking place from January 17 to 25. Visitors will be able to see the yacht in Hall 16, Stand B19, where Saffier Yachts will showcase its latest addition to the fleet.
