The 44th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race commenced earlier today from the magnificent Grand Harbour in Valletta, Malta.
An international fleet of 110 yachts from 26 countries are contesting the 2023 edition of this revered annual race, first held in 1968.
Rolex has partnered the Rolex Middle Sea Race and its organizers, Royal Malta Yacht Club, since 2002. The beautiful and challenging 606-nautical mile (1,122 kilometres) contest, comprising an anticlockwise circumnavigation of Sicily, is one of several 600-mile offshore races supported by Rolex as part of its near 70-year partnership with the sport of yachting.
