Ocean Independence is delighted to announce their appointment as Central Agents for the sale of PROJECT PHOENIX.
This extraordinary 57m former cable-laying vessel is now ready for an adventurous owner to convert her into a premium expedition superyacht. Launched by the EJ Smit & Zoon Shipyard, Holland in 1968, PHOENIX thereafter achieved 30 successful years of commercial sailing with her superb sea-keeping qualities. Today she has been stripped back to her bare steel framework, ready for the commencement of a largescale conversion project to transform her into a luxurious superyacht. This extensive work will be carried out by a dedicated team of professional craftsmen at the ICT Shipyard in Turkey. Alongside them will be some key industry experts, namely Frank Laupman of Omega Design for the interior and interior design, with naval architecture and engineering calculations fronted by Perry Van Oossanen.
This sensational line-up of specialists in their field will ensure that the resulting superyacht will be of superb quality and immense pedigree. Offering untold potential, PHOENIX will deliver an outstanding range of 11,000 nautical miles, with accommodation for 12 guests in 6 spacious staterooms including a private Owners’ deck affording exceptional views. Renderings are available to see the potential interior and exterior that this new expedition yacht can offer. Managed by an exacting combination of Dutch craftsmen and a professional yacht brokerage company, this will be a project completed to the highest standards, with the existing hull structure reducing the necessary build time considerably.
