Petros Michelidakis: ‘The music is playing in Düsseldorf’

When boot 2025 opens its doors for nine days on 18 January, it will once again showcase the ‘crème de la crème’ of the water sports industry.

Above all, the enormous range of yachts and boats is the asset with which the trade fair will clearly outperform its competitors again in the coming year. 17 exhibition halls with more than 1,000 boats, surfboards, diving equipment and lots of water sports destinations all over the world make boot Düsseldorf the top event in the industry. Director Petros Michelidakis:

‘The music is playing in Düsseldorf! If you want to experience the diversity of water sports and learn more about them in person, this is the right place for you. The central location of boot in the heart of Europe, with excellent flight and rail connections, creates an international marketplace with ideal conditions for successful business deals and offers perfect networking opportunities.

Every year, exhibitors at boot report numerous sales during the fair itself, as well as thousands of additional leads that guarantee them good business in the post-fair period. Next year, some manufacturers and shipyards will only be able to show a reduced product range at boot or will have to cancel due to the current challenging economic situation.

However, we understand this well and are in close contact with all relevant companies. They have clearly expressed their support for future participation in boot as the world’s largest water sports trade fair and assured us that they will be back on board in Düsseldorf in full from 2026.’

However, boot will also score with the big names in the industry in 2025.
