Perini Navi Group, leader in the design and construction of many of the world’s largest sailing yachts, is proud to announce the successful launching of the SY Dahlak, 60th unit of the Perini Navi fleet.
The launching ceremony took place in the La Spezia facilities of the group where the Perini Navi team at large and the Owners celebrated the launching and christening of this 38m aluminium sloop.
Born from the collaboration with the French Naval Architect Phillippe Briand, SY Dahlak features several technical innovations that illustrate Perini Navi’s commitment to provide Owners with the best technology that enhances performance, sail handling and onboard comfort, including the latest generation of electric captive winches engineered in-house and a Lithium polymer battery system for silent running.
The imposing carbon fibre Rig includes a 51.40m mast combined with 14m furling boom and composite standing rigging for a sail area that exceeds 1870sqm.
“A synthesis of performance and speed, beauty and comfort, Dahlak is our dream come true,” says the Owner. “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work so closely with the Perini Navi team, who accurately interpreted our needs and collaborated with us to define every detail and develop each technical innovation. She is a unique and exciting yacht and we cannot wait to take her for a spin.”
Following her launching, SY Dahlak will complete her testing and sea trial phase prior the delivery.
