Mangusta Oceano and the Mangusta GranSport lines

Overmarine Group finished 2020 on a great note, announcing the sale of two vessels in the Mangusta Oceano and the Mangusta GranSport lines.

“We are delighted to have concluded a very challenging year with the sale of two vessels, a Mangusta Oceano 43 and a Mangusta GranSport 33” states the Group’s CEO Maurizio Balducci “Thanks to our Clients’ recognition of the quality of our products and the strength and reliability of our Shipyard, we were able to secure these important sales in spite of all the difficulties we were faced with in the year just ended”.
The Mangusta Oceano 43, called “Project Como”, is the sixth unit in this series. Her sale was closed thanks to the cooperation with Gaston and Alex Lees-Buckley, from brokerage house Camper & Nicholsons, who joined Overmarine’s Sales Manager Francesca Ragnetti to finalise this important deal. The sale of this vessel, which will remain in Europe, came just a few months after the one achieved for the previous unit, to be built for the American market.

The Mangusta Oceano 43 features an infinity pool at the bow and a beach club aft, where the stern door opens on the sea to create a 45 sq. m (484 sq. ft.) platform. The spacious master stateroom, located on the main deck, has an automatically-operated balcony that the Owner can easily open and close at his own choice. The key-word onboard this yacht is “light”, in all its variations – from the natural light shining through the wide glazed surfaces and the skylights, all the way to world-class lighting design, which means that all onboard areas are pleasantly and warmly illuminated.
Delivering a cruising speed of 11 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles, the Mangusta Oceano 43 can take her Owner wherever he decides to head to.

The third unit of the Mangusta GranSport 33 line, “Project Ponza”, has been sold to a European Owner in cooperation with Christine Lavie from International Yacht Charter. “The Owner had previously purchased a pre-owned Mangusta yacht and, after enjoying just one season of cruising, he decided to have a brand-new one built, customising her to his own wishes and taste”, explains Ivan Adzic, France Area Manager, who oversaw this sale.

The Mangusta GranSport 33 is the entry level model in the fast displacement range.
Powered by an innovative propulsion package consisting of 4 Volvo Penta D13 da 735 kW 1000hp. engines coupled to 4 IPS pod drives, she offers outstanding efficiency and excellent performance with speeds of up to 26 knots resulting in optimal flexibility in use.
This vessel offers an unprecedented level of comfort with spaces and volumes among the best in the category; a shining example of this is the spectacular 40sq. m (132 sq/ft) on-deck master cabin. The main saloon features full-height windows which slide open thereby offering not only great views and exceptional luminosity but also the possibility of « al fresco » dining even indoors.

The flybridge offers a surface area of 56 sq. m (184 sq/ft) and communicates directly with the foredeck which is another area for entertaining and socializing in the open air with its comfortable lounge and sunbathing areas which precede a massaging infinity pool located at the bow. Even the tender garage has a class-leading capacity with its ability to accommodate a 5.65-meter tender and two full-size jet skis. Another important feature of this area is the extendable stern platform.
The Mangusta GranSport 33 has features which can be found on 38-40 meter vessels with the ease of management and reduced running costs of a 30-meter yacht.

The exterior lines of both vessels have been pencilled by designer Alberto Mancini, who worked side by side with Overmarine Group’s technical department to create yachts that stand out for their elegant profile and strong personality, as well as a perfect balance between indoor and outdoor areas – a feature that has always been part of Mangusta’s DNA.

The two yachts are currently under construction at Overmarine Group’s production sites, the one in Pisa for the Mangusta Oceano 43 and the Viareggio site for the Mangusta GranSport 33. Both units are expected to be delivered in summer 2021.

Overmarine Group, a company owned by the Balducci family ever since its establishment, has so far built over 300 vessels, more than 100 of which exceed 30 metres in length. The Group ranks fourth among Italian boat builders and is among the first ten in the world, with 19 vessels currently under construction, 8 of which to be delivered in 2021, recording an average length of 43.3 metres.

Overmarine’s focus has always been to build state-of-the-art yachts offering unparalleled quality and maximum onboard comfort, combined with the ability always to interpret its Clients’ needs and requests at best.
