The new Nautor’s Swan 65 was designed by Germán Frers and follows the latest design trends of modern ocean racers.
The bow profile allows precise and comfortable sailing in waves, while the powerful volumes in the stern provide high speeds in lee and low drag. The noble appearance results from sleek, elegant forms, a high stern and a low freeboard.
Sailing with a small crew
The keel of the Swan 65 is available in three different versions and with an innovative telescopic option that lowers the keel from 2.75 m to 4.20 m without adversely affecting the interior. The rudders are designed for absolute efficiency, with two blades that guarantee complete control and optimum balance. Perfectly combined with the shape of the hull, the rigging and sail plan offer all the benefits of the latest experience and developments, allowing ambitious sailing with minimal crew.
Protected cockpit
The cockpit of the 65 is organized in the typical Swan layout. The front part is dedicated to the guests, well protected by the sprayhood and bimini, and has a table for outdoor dining and entertainment. This area is offered in different configurations: open and sporty, with seamless seating and full-length table, comfortable and sheltered, with surrounding seats and integrated sunbathing area. This layout also offers more interior space, with the owner’s suite at the aft. The central area of the cockpit is dedicated to the handling of the yacht, with five winches, all positioned near the two helm positions, for better handling with limited crew, but enough space for a complete racing crew to work efficiently.
