For over 40 years, MG Yachts & Villas has shaped Greek yachting, guiding guests from chartered holidays to confident yacht ownership, offering expert advice, tailored services, and seamless management that transforms every journey at sea into a personal, unforgettable experience.
There is a special moment in Greek yachting when a regular charter guest realizes that the sea already feels like home. Routes are familiar, favorite anchorages have nicknames, and base staff greet returning crews by first name. At some point the question comes almost naturally: what if the yacht were not just chartered, but truly theirs?
MG Yachts & Villas was created long before that question became common. In 1983, when organized yacht tourism in Greece was still taking shape, Ms. Mary Gogossis founded one of the first professional charter agencies in the country. What began as a small family office in Athens has grown into a complete yachting group with a clear aim, to guide people from their very first holiday under sail to confident and enjoyable yacht ownership.
Recently this lifelong commitment was recognized at the Olympic Yacht Show 2025 in Lavrio. During this important gathering of the Greek yachting world, our CEO Mary Gogossis was honored by the organizers and received an award from Vasilis Kikilias, Minister of Maritime Affairs, for her remarkable contribution and dedication to the industry. The moment was both proud and emotional for the MG Yachts family and it highlighted the values that define our work, vision, leadership and a deep love for the sea that inspires our entire team and everyone who chooses to sail their story with us.
Navigating expertise and excellence
For more than 40 years the company has been at the heart of Greek yachting life. From its headquarters close to Alimos Marina and a network of key bases across the Ionian, Cyclades, Saronic Gulf, Sporades and Dodecanese, MG Yachts manages a large and diverse fleet of sailing yachts and catamarans from leading international yards. This deep operational experience at sea now supports an increasingly important side of the business, the world of yacht sales, ownership and long-term management.
Greece is a natural home for yacht owners. The cruising ground is extensive yet accessible, with mild weather for much of the year, short passages between islands, and an ever-improving network of marinas and harbors. For many international owners, placing a yacht in Greece means not only having a base for their own holidays, but also the possibility of generating income through carefully controlled charter activity. MG Yachts has lived inside this reality from the beginning and is able to speak openly about both the pleasures and the responsibilities of owning a yacht in Greek waters.

Through official dealership agreements, MG Yachts offers direct access to some of the most respected shipyards in the world, including Dufour, Hanse, Fountaine Pajot and Bali. Each yard has its own personality. Dufour yachts combine lively performance with generous interiors that suit both private cruising and charter. Hanse is known for clean lines, strong sail plans and inventive layout solutions. Fountaine Pajot and Bali focus on catamarans with remarkable living space and contemporary design, ideal for families and groups who value comfort at anchor as much as reliability at sea. The MG Yachts team helps buyers understand these differences in practice, matching each owner profile to the right brand and model rather than simply presenting a catalogue.
