Mangusta 165 Number 11 has been launched

The 11th unit of the Mangusta 165 series, currently the flagship of the Maxi Open Mangusta fleet, was launched last Thursday, 17th November, in Viareggio.

Mangusta 165 E, where E stands for Evolution, the name given to the current model, is a fast, comfortable, unique 50 metre yacht as well as an absolute reference point for the market in terms of performance and technical content. She is also a huge commercial success for the Group, a style icon set to last over the years and a milestone in nautical history.

Unit no. 11 features all the latest style and technical innovations: more aggressive, muscular lines, a single pane of glass in the salon which offers excellent visibility from the inside and lets in copious amounts of natural light, and a longer flybridge with an aesthetic grill astern that gives the yacht even greater dynamic thrust.1mangsta2

The propulsion equipment provides for 4 2600HP MTU 16V2000 M94 engines, 4 Rolls Royce/KameWa NP water jets and 4 Seakeeper stabilisers: a better weight/power ratio, modular functionality on request, optimised space in the engine room and greater efficacy. This all translates into a better performance and higher yields. Performances are similar to that which were achieved in the past, but consumption is considerably lower. The effectiveness of the stabilisation system is so high, even during navigation, that the yacht can even be used in displacement mode at a minimum speed of 8-10 knots, whilst those aboard will still enjoy total comfort. This considerably increases the range of speeds at which the yacht can be used.

The interiors, as indeed with all Mangusta yachts, are completely customised and the fruit of a successful working relationship between the Group’s Artistic Office and the Owner’s team.

The yacht will be delivered to his Owner with an official ceremony in the new year.

Hull no. 12, which has already been sold, is currently in the last stage of construction, and will be launched over the next few months.
