The 57-meter superyacht Legacy 4 by Codecasa has officially launched in Viareggio, blending Italian elegance with impressive 5,000-mile transoceanic range.
The Italian yachting industry has reached another milestone with the official launch of the Legacy 4, a 57-meter superyacht that represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship at the Codecasa Shipyards in Viareggio. Previously known throughout its construction phase as Hull F81, this displacement vessel was recently christened during a private ceremony that celebrated the culmination of years of meticulous engineering and artistic vision. The yacht features a robust steel hull and a lightweight aluminum superstructure, built to the rigorous standards of Lloyd’s Register classification to ensure both safety and longevity on the high seas.
Architectural harmony and design collaboration
The exterior and interior identity of the Legacy 4 is the result of a prestigious collaboration between the shipyard’s in-house technical team and the renowned Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini. The design philosophy focuses on a sophisticated harmony between private retreats and communal social areas, allowing guests to enjoy intimate moments or grand gatherings with equal ease. To ensure seamless movement across its expansive layout, an elevator connects all decks, providing effortless transitions between the lower guest quarters and the panoramic upper lounging areas.
Luxury accommodations and crew logistics
Accommodation on board is designed to host a large party in absolute luxury, featuring a sprawling owner’s suite alongside five additional guest cabins. The operational side of the vessel is equally well-considered, with a dedicated captain’s cabin and six twin cabins providing ample space for a professional crew. While many of the interior details remain confidential, the focus on high-end Italian materials and bespoke finishes is evident in every aspect of the build, reflecting the owner’s personal style and the shipyard’s heritage.
Engineering power and transoceanic range
In terms of performance, the Legacy 4 is engineered for long-range exploration and reliable cruising. Powered by two Caterpillar engines producing 2,375 horsepower each, the yacht is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots. More impressively, when maintaining a steady cruising speed of 12 knots, the vessel boasts a remarkable range of 5,000 nautical miles. This transoceanic capability ensures that the Legacy 4 is not just a coastal cruiser but a true global explorer, ready to take its owner to the most remote corners of the world in total comfort.
A collective achievement in Viareggio
The successful delivery of this project was made possible through the collective expertise of the Codecasa team and the strategic guidance of advisors from Yanova and Fraser. As the Legacy 4 begins its life on the water, it stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of the Viareggio shipbuilding tradition, blending timeless aesthetics with the latest advancements in naval architecture.
