Leapher Shipbuilding B.V. successfully launched the 61-metre superyacht Horizon II, the first NAVIX60 explorer.
February 20, 2026, marked a defining milestone for Leapher Shipbuilding B.V. as the company’s first superyacht, Horizon II, was successfully launched in Tolkamer, The Netherlands.
As the first unit of the shipyard’s NAVIX60 platform, Horizon II represents the culmination of years of planning, engineering, and hands-on craftsmanship. From initial concept sketches to hull construction and final detailing, the project reflects Leapher’s ambition to establish itself in the global explorer yacht market with a platform built around strength, range, and long-term reliability.
Measuring 61 metres and built in steel, Horizon II has been developed as a true long-range explorer —designed not only for comfort, but for serious passagemaking. The yacht’s robust construction and high internal volume of 1,760 GT position her among the most substantial vessels in her size bracket, offering generous interior living spaces alongside extensive technical and storage capacity for extended cruising.
The exterior design was developed by Cor D. Rover Design, with naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, combining modern aesthetics with proven seakeeping performance.
Built with a robust steel hull and engineered for high-latitude cruising, Horizon II offers extended range and autonomy. The yacht features accommodations for up to 14 guests and a professional crew complement, advanced onboard systems, and design elements that balance performance with bespoke comfort and style. Following the launch, the yacht will proceed to the next phase of outfitting and commissioning before sea trials later this year.
