The Jeanneau Sailboat crew is always looking to the future, and each year, we launch a new season of even more comfortable models delivering an even better performance.
After the successful development of the Jeanneau Yachts line over these last few years, the brand is fully investing in its iconic Sun Odyssey line. The previous season saw the launch of two extremely innovative sailboats designed for pure relaxation. Jeanneau continues to develop this line and launches a new Sun Odyssey.
The popularity of sailboat racing continues, and the Sun Fast 3200 and 3600 continue to monopolise the podiums in France and around the world!
Today, Jeanneau is offering 16 models, from 31 to 64 feet, to suit every style. These innovative sailboats with advantageous, attractive lines benefit from uncontested worldwide renown.
THE FUTURE OF JEANNEAU IS PLURAL.
The iconic line by Jeanneau continues to evolve. In 2018, with the launch of the new generation of Sun Odysseys, Jeanneau continues to develop this successful line. With over 17,000 boats under sail since their creation, the Sun Odyssey line can be found on seas worldwide.
The 8th generation is already benefiting from an aura of recognition by marine professionals and by the public. In just a few months, Jeanneau has earned an array of awards! The Sun Odyssey 440 notably received the “European Yacht of the Year” award in Düsseldorf, the “Asia Boating Award” in Singapore, the “Best Boat” award by SAIL Magazine, and named the “Most Innovative Boat” by Cruising World in the United States.
The Sun Odyssey 490 also earned the title of “Best of the Best” from the Robb Report. Why such a success? Because the new generation of Sun Odysseys reflects true harmony on board. They combine perfect performance on the water with ergonomic details and an inviting, innovative design. At once seaworthy and welcoming, cosy and sporty, the Sun Odysseys are as attractive on the interior as on the exterior. The atmosphere is warm and neatly finished, soft and indulgent. On the interior, simple lines and generous living space makes life on board easy and comfortable. The Sun Odysseys feature a homogenous structure built for seaworthiness and the joys of life on board.
A NEW VISION OF LIFE ON BOARD
Designed by naval architects, Philippe Briand and Marc Lombard, with the contribution of designer Jean-Marc Piaton, the new line of Sun Odysseyssuccessfully meets the challenge of incorporating contemporary features intoa harmonious design.
These sailboats revolutionise sailing: they are alone in their size category tooffer a layout featuring easy movement about the boat without any obstacle.The walkaround sidedeck slopes directly down to the level of the cockpit! Thisfeature results in incomparable ease of movement on board and makes thisline unique in its class. Life on board has never been so simple and enjoyable!
On the heels of two successful sailboat models launched last year, the SunOdyssey 440 and 490, the line is now expanding to include a third model: theSun Odyssey 410. This newest addition is designed by Marc Lombard, a longstandingdesign partner who draws much of his inspiration from race boats.
BEYOND LIMITS
It features the ultimate in comfort and performance, for a unique experience while under way.
The contemporary Sun Odyssey 410 benefits from all the latest technical and technological advances in architecture:
• a hard chine running the full length of the hull, for a more powerful and stable hull;
• an inverted bow, for fine entry, better weight distribution and a distinctive look;
• the bow stands clear of the water, for less drag and greater speed;
• self-aligning twin rudders, with self-aligning bearings, for an improved feel of the helm;
• retractable bowthruster, ultra powerful for greater manoeuvrability;
• cathedral standing rigging,
• an L-shaped keel,
• and an integrated bowsprit.
AN INVITING DECK PLAN
Sailing was never so enjoyable aboard a 41-foot sailboat. With her powerful hull, the Sun Odyssey 410 perfects the art of sailing and comfort on board. The model is particularly secure, featuring sidedecks without obstacles andcomfortable coaming.
All is as with her predecessors from the 8th generation, the Sun Odyssey 410 benefits from a lower boom, which facilitates access to the sail and increases the sail area. Centralised winches, which can be controlled directly from the cockpit, also contribute to safety on board.
AN INTERIOR DEDICATED TO WELL-BEING AND HARMONY
A true invitation to relax and enjoy the comfort and general well-being on board, the Sun Odyssey 410 includes all the successful features of the line and offers a new vision of life on board.
With clean lines and thoughtful consideration of the distribution of space, the new generation design offers a harmonious, contemporary perspective.
The interior is at once surprising and consistent with the Sun Odyssey line, where innovation serves to heighten the aesthetic and the level of comfort. Designed by Jean-Marc Piaton and his crew, the interior design reveals stunning potential for a sailboat of this size.
The partitions and the distribution of space were designed in a somewhat atypical fashion in order to maximise the interior space, both visually and physically. The eye easily follows the uninterrupted interior lines.
The warm, inviting saloon is bathed in light, and the arrangement of the seating invites conversation. The central daybed is a key feature in this cosy saloon, perfect for relaxation. This convertible model offers comfort at sea and at port, and it features exceptional, unequalled storage space. In keeping with the features of the new Sun Odyssey line, the Sun Odyssey 410 benefits from a contemporary central galley. Well equipped, this ultra-functional galley offers multiple zones for storage.
In the owner’s cabin, the sailboat offers a spacious parental suite with a head compartment and a separate shower, as well as a walk-in closet. The berths are wide and comfortable, with large rectangular beds, just like at home!
In the version with one head compartment aft, the forward cabin offers another option to owners, with a private sink and an additional large walk-in closet. The guest cabins also benefit from a harmonious, contemporary layout, whether in the two- or three-cabin version. The design was carefully considered to enable each guest cabin to include the Premium beds.
