A NEW VISION OF LIFE ON BOARD
Designed by Naval Architects, Philippe Briand and Marc Lombard, along with the designer, Jean-Marc Piaton, the Sun Odysseys 440 and 490 harmoniously integrate contemporary style while respecting a heritage of 27 years in boat building. The Sun Odyssey 410, designed by Marc Lombard, is inspired by race boats. The new Sun Odyssey line revolutionises cruising with sailboats that offer obstacle-free movement about the boat. The sidedeck descends directly into the cockpit This incomparable ease of movement is entirely unique in its category. Life on board has never been this simple and enjoyable.
BEYOND LIMITS
It features the ultimate in comfort and performance, for a unique experience while under way.
The contemporary Sun Odyssey 410 benefits from all the latest technical and technological advances in architecture:
• a hard chine running the full length of the hull, for a more powerful and stable hull;
• an inverted bow, for fine entry, better weight distribution and a distinctive look;
• the bow stands clear of the water, for less drag and greater speed;
• self-aligning twin rudders, with self-aligning bearings, for an improved feel of the helm;
• retractable bowthruster, ultra powerful for greater manoeuvrability;
• an L-shaped keel,
• and an integrated bowsprit.
For this new season, the Sun Odyssey 410 offers a swing keel
EASY HANDLING IN SHALLOW WATERS
It is with all the experience of the design cabinet of Marc Lombard that we find this incredible innovation. The swing keel system was developed for the Sun Odyssey 410: it is the only 40-foot cruising sailboat at large scale production equipped with this system, that was until now reserved for race boats. This great technical innovation enables the boat access to just about anywhere.
Her draught, identical to that of a Class 40, will thrill all those who love performance. Similar to that of a lifting keel, this same draught, at 1.37 meters with the keel lifted, enables the exploration of zones hitherto inaccessible. Marinas like Chichester are now within a sail’s length, in complete simplicity and with an excellent performance.
AN INVITING DECK PLAN
Sailing was never so enjoyable aboard a 41-foot sailboat. With her powerful hull, the Sun Odyssey 410 perfects the art of sailing and comfort on board.
The model is particularly secure, featuring sidedecks without obstacles and comfortable coaming.
All is as with her predecessors from the 8th generation, the Sun Odyssey 410 benefits from a lower boom, which facilitates access to the sail and increases the sail area. Centralised winches, which can be controlled directly from the cockpit, also contribute to safety on board.
AN INTERIOR DEDICATED TO WELL-BEING AND HARMONY
A true invitation to relax and enjoy the comfort and general well-being on board, the Sun Odyssey 410 includes all the successful features of the line and offers a new vision of life on board.
With clean lines and thoughtful consideration of the distribution of space, the new generation design offers a harmonious, contemporary perspective. The interior is at once surprising and consistent with the Sun Odyssey line, where innovation serves to heighten the aesthetic and the level of comfort. Designed by Jean-Marc Piaton and his crew, the interior design reveals stunning potential for a sailboat of this size. The partitions and the distribution of space were designed in a somewhat atypical fashion in order to maximise the interior space, both visually and physically. The eye easily follows the uninterrupted interior lines.
For the lifting keel version, the Sun Odyssey 410 cleverly integrates the lifting system without compromising the exceptional ergonomics of the sailboat.
The warm, inviting saloon is bathed in light, and the arrangement of the seating invites conversation. The central daybed is a key feature in this cosy saloon, perfect for relaxation. This convertible model offers comfort at sea and at port, and it features exceptional, unequalled storage space. In keeping with the features of the new Sun Odyssey line, the Sun Odyssey 410 benefits from a contemporary central galley. Well equipped, this ultra-functional galley offers multiple zones for storage.
In the owner’s cabin, the sailboat offers a spacious parental suite with a head compartment and a separate shower, as well as a walk-in closet. The berths are wide and comfortable, with large rectangular beds, just like at home!
In the version with one head compartment aft, the forward cabin offers another option to owners, with a private sink and an additional large walk-in closet. The guest cabins also benefit from a harmonious, contemporary layout, whether in the two- or threecabin version.
The design was carefully considered to enable each guest cabin to include the Premium beds.
MULTIPLE INTERIOR LAYOUTS AVAILABLE
The Sun Odyssey 410 is offered in multiple versions with different interior layouts, with two or three cabins. The space can also be configured as a very large sail locker,
and include options as dressing (forward owner’s cabin), one or two heads etc.
